Another jeweler in town made it seem like they would need to modify the setting and quoted an extremely high price. Thank you for working through my concerns and I will see the team back soon with another ring I need a size adjustment on, as well as new purchases. UPDATE 3/16: My meeting was very positive with Jason (owner). We talked about my concerns, I learned more about the science behind the work JD Jewelers performs on vintage rings, and we set reasonable expectations for the two ring's modifications. Jason also took adequate time with me, politely listened and shared some of the business's history with me. I left feeling very happy with the appointment & conversation. The jeweler plans to make the requested changes to the jewelry and I’ll pick them back up soon. Thank you Jason, for the time you spent with me today. 🤍

I would still consider having a constructive conversation with J.D. Jewelers to resolve the issue. However, I would prefer to speak privately with another qualified member of the staff and not have further interaction with the owner involved in this encounter.
