“Reminds me of the good ole days! I’m really happy I stopped in here on my way to a BBQ to pick up paper plates and s’mores stuff. I also grabbed a ten dollar scratch off and won $50 so that’s always a bonus! Walking in, a wave of nostalgia came over me and it was rather nice. It reminded me of grocery shopping pre-Walmart. Like a mom-n-pop owned store. They had some good sales going on and even some specialty items and I wished I had had more time to spend in there. Next time I come through Birch Run I will definitely make a point to stop in here. I would absolutely recommend stopping in.”

“This is a really great small town grocery store. They have everything you could need and things you didn't know you needed. The fresh meat dept. is really awesome, I would say old school... like the good old days!”
“I have driven past this place several times on my journeys. This morning I had a hankering for something unique that I had not had in a long while. Breakfast pizza. I was asking AI and Google maps to find me a place nearby or on my way to the MSU game. Nothing comes up. But I remembered this store. I pulled in hoping for a miracle, and it happened I was not disappointed. Breakfast pizza just hits in a special way when you are craving it. The milk gravy sauce on the biscuit soft dough with sausage and bacon topped with melted cheese just hit the spot. Had I ordered a whole one for myself I would add scrambled eggs and some either American cheese or cheddar cheese sauce if available to really push it to epic levels. I will definitely be stopping more frequently now to sample their other offerings for lunch and dinner.”
“I love Aldi. This location is all u-scan, which I don't mind. There's usually only 1 - 2 cashiers at other locations so it's a lot faster. This was a super clean store and had way more than what I was looking for. They had so many gluten free items!”
“I do limited shopping at Bueche's because it is expensive, but the atmosphere is friendly, the aisles are clean and the workers are professional. Sometimes it is just nice to see some neighbors.”
“I am a regular shopper at Meijer nowadays because since I moved to where I am now, I originally strictly shopped at Meijer due to its proximity to me. I originally had thought their prices were a little high compared to Kroger, etc. That sentiment all changed when I began using mperks. By using mperks I found that the savings bring the cost of my groceries down significantly. I've never been a member of a loyalty program that accrues savings so frequently. It is far superior to any other loyalty rewards program in my opinion.”
“Look, I can’t say anything about the grocery store, didn’t go in. I’m sure it’s fabulous. Five stars because this gem is a place is right off the main road and had gas for $2.89 where the cheapest I saw in my 2 hours of driving was $3.17 and most gas stations were at $3.30”
“Love that they are open when the post office closes so darn early, customer service desk is where you go. Nice how someone leaves a bad review when a simple google search would tell you where to go.”
“The deli area was smaller then I remember after they remodeled. Way more self checkouts than I would like to see. Used the women’s restroom near electronics could use a little cleaning…
Over all it was pleasant. Shelves were stocked well just super crowded because of the holidays I’m sure.
The isles seem much more smaller and not as wide. Hard to fit two carts side by side while passing anyone in the isles.”

“Who doesn't like a dollar general? Well I do. It is a quick stop and shop. Perfect if you need a poster board for a kids school project, deodorant for a date, cleaning supplies because a kid vomited in the car, or you simply want a cheap t-shirt or socks. Dollar General is a dollar store upgrade. This store was busy as it was a few days before Christmas and I suspect stocking staffers where needed. Nothing like BBQ pork rhins and eggnog to get the holiday kicking.”
