“Faro never disappoints. The food is always amazing and the staff is always personable with stellar recommendations. Tonight I asked for a cocktail recommendation while I waited for carryout. The bartender//server recommended the Italian Soda (her own creation). It was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. And my carryout — margherita pizza and beet salad— so damn good! I’ve read some of the reviews dinging service and price. Those folks don’t seem to get the challenges of operating a restaurant in a small town — especially one that caters to both locals and tourists — in and out of season. I’ve had the pleasure of being a Faro customer many times over the last couple of years — and as I stated at the start of this review— Faro never disappoints.”

“My wife and I planned on having our wedding ceremony in the nearby park under the gazebo and then hosting our reception at Willowbrook Mill. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit uncooperative so we made the last minute decision to have both the ceremony and the reception inside the venue. This was the easiest and smoothest pivot we could have asked for. In fact, we saw it as a blessing in disguise as the ceremony was made all the more intimate. Mimi and Joel went above and beyond in helping us achieve what we can only describe as our perfect wedding. From set-up to tear-down, they were there with us to answer questions and provide insight and guidance along the way. Through the many pictures, videos, and memories; I'm so grateful I get to relive the happiest day of my life at Willowbrook Mill.”

“Best venue for a wedding! We got married under the willow tree, had our cocktail hour in the lounge area and outside, and the reception in the barn. It felt like fairy tale wedding. Our bridal party was able to stay on the venue at the farmhouse, where we also got ready, and it could not have been more perfect. Thank you so much Meagan!”

“Exceptionally enjoyable 25 min drive up the pennisula thru vineyards and orchards. This lighthouse served not only a beacon of light to lake traffic for many years, it was originally established as a beacon of light mission for the natives nearly 200 years ago. A very nice beach, as well. Several wineries and eating options dot the drive to this historic and scenic spot.”

“This place is the perfect spot for a long weekend getaway. Easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Staff was the nicest I’ve ever had. Brought our 20 foot boat up from Ohio and they had no problem with us parking it there.”

“My husband and I had our wedding at Aurora on 8/29/2026. During our planning, Missy was extremely responsive in every question. We came up for multiple tours and she was always accommodating and excited to have us. She made the planning feel seamless! On the day of our wedding, Erin was amazing. She was communicative and detailed. Even with the light rain, Erin was quick to grab umbrellas and ensure our guests had a great experience! Our day wouldn't have been so fun without the team at Aurora! I highly encourage this venue and team. Everything was beautiful and we had the best weekend.”
