“I enjoyed my time at VKM. Every session, i feel energetic and a bit stronger. I feel i can do some self- defense. It's also a great workout! Instructors are great and they make sure you're okay if hurt and correct you so you can fight bad guys. They're not worried about perfection and judgement free. Fight if you have to, if in an "oh crap" situation. Weapon Defense class is my favourite and informative. I can't get enough of krav maga. Thank you VKM!!”

“I love this location. The staff is amazing and the facility is always clean. One thing that I wish it had is a sauna. I recently went to crunch fitness with my daughter and they have a sauna in the locker room. That will be a great addition, so maybe one day. I plan on staying at planet fitness because it's close to my house and I love the staff”

“For the past 4 months, I've been taking group classes at TRV Fit Detroit, and I’m honestly blown away by the results. I was never really a “gym guy,” but Paige’s sessions have completely changed that for me. Her workouts are super effective, and I've seen real upper body growth.

The classes are challenging, but the coaches ensure everyone stays motivated and on track, no matter where you’re starting from. I can't recommend TRV Fit enough. It’s been a game changer for me!”

“I started at the Barre Code when we moved to Royal Oak in 2020. The classes are great and all of the instructors keep you motivated to keep going back and stick with an exercise routine. I love the variety of classes (Barre, cardio and strength training) and love the fact that there is such diversity in the workouts. The studios are very welcoming...it is a great place to start my mornings at every day!”

“As a physical therapist, I know a lot about exercise and in evaluating an exercise program for myself I like to see how knowledgeable the trainers are, and how much personal attention they give the clients taking advantage of the one Week Test Drive Burn Boot Camp offers I was able to observe a few trainers, and all were well trained positive, enthusiastic and supportive I did a CrossFit Boot Camp for five years until the pandemic hit and have been mainly doing gym workouts, running in high intensity, interval, training since then, in searching for a new group to work out with. I was very impressed with the supportive raised floor at Burn Boot Camp. It is a lot easier on the joints which is a definite plus , I think anyone considering the troy camp will find that whatever your fitness level, the trainers always demonstrate modifications of a particular exercise so that you can continue at your own pace and not injure yourself trying to keep up with the more experienced campers, Ron Clinton”

“I've been at HC now for four months and have had a wonderful experience so far! The coaches are very professional and genuinely care about helping you improve as an athlete. All of the members have been very warm and welcoming; there's a great sense of support and community. The new Troy facility is spacious, clean and well-equipped. The programming is challenging, yet adaptable for all athlete skill-levels. It's a great CrossFit gym all around. Highly recommend!”

Shannon was an excellent instructor, who kept a great pace with the class while focusing individually with each student on their needs and technique.I felt truly comfortable with the staff and students, I mean it's real hard not to feel silly day 1 hang upside from a trapeze at 47 ?, but the silly goes away quick as you learn some amazing techniques.”

“If you haven’t tried peach lab, you need to! I’ve worked out by myself for years and my body has transformed more in one month at peach lab then years at the gym by myself. All of the trainers are so fun, knowledgeable and welcoming. All the girls I’ve met here are so kind and make it fun to come to classes. I’m getting married in a few short weeks and a big reason why I started at peach lab; I’ve never felt so comfortable in my body after starting classes here and extremely confident for my wedding day. All the trainers are amazing, but specific shoutouts to Kaila, Kokko and Bekah because I take most classes with them. Came to get a good workout and prep for wedding, staying for years to come because of the people, obviously great workouts and fun.Highly recommend!!”

“The best gym in Michigan, along with the other body shop in grand rapids. it has a pullover machine, overhead triceps machine, a laying chest fly, vertical leg press, and like 5 different machine rows. built like a basement, wood paneled posing room, loads of bodybuilding history. membership is 200 a year, with a 10$ day pass. it doesn't get any better than this and I've been to most real gyms in Michigan.”

I love how the stretching area specifically is spacious!! The locker rooms are always clean as well. “If you are a weight lifter looking to mix things up, I’d check out the classes here.My wife has been going to classes and personal training here for years. I recently started going with her to some classes and loved it.I’m a very “old school” lifter. I workout with heavy weights training 2-3 muscle a session and one of my favorite movies is pumping iron. I also enjoy running but never tried a circuit class.The circuit is really fun. I’d recommend not being afraid to modify things or not do every exercise. You can still get a solid lifting routine in if you tweak things, but the real benefits is it’s like smashing lifting and cardio together, so you get a great calorie burn compared to normal lifting. They also don’t yell or push you in odd ways which I appreciated (Thanks Valerie!). I expected the trainer to yell to go faster, harder, etc but no they just encourage you.If you are more an old school lifter like me. I’d recommend supplementing your schedule with 1-2 circuit classes a week. I burn about 600-700 calories per class and get a very good workout. Just give yourself 3ish classes to adjust, I’ve been lifting over 20 years and I was shocked at the amount of variety/moves I’ve never done.They have a 3 class for $15 special for new members. I’d encourage the owner to keep that special, since I think you need a few classes to get the hang of things.Also the place is super duper clean! Really like Retrofit and I think its great supplement for those into weight lifting.”
