“The Cochrane House is absolutely lovely! I'm looking for a reason to visit Detroit again just to stay here. The shared space is very warm and homey. The rooms are comfortable with a spa-like bathroom. I wish our plans would have allowed us to stay longer!
Walkability: We were visiting to attend a hockey game. Both the hockey arena and baseball stadium are a few blocks away on foot.”

“Beautiful venue but very little leg room and i am 5'4. Also we just saw The Thorn and the volume was uncomfortably loud causing me and others around us to have to plug our ears for 25% of the performance. The staff was amazing! Very helpful when trying to find ur seat. Food and drinks very expensive like a 15 oz bottle of water was like $7.”

“We did our 125-person reception at GLCC, and from the beginning, working with GLCC and Cassy has been an absolute pleasure. From scheduling the initial tour to tear down, the entire team was professional, courteous, and helpful. The food from Reva Constantine Events was easily the best I’ve ever had at a wedding, and people were telling us similar things all night long. The cake was life-changing (literally), and everything else was fantastic. The venue itself is excellent, with a very cool aesthetic. It is clean, spacious, and has a beautiful outdoor patio and garden. Cassy was always highly responsive, flexible, and helpful, providing us with suggestions, assurances, and overall assistance with the venue, food, and drink, among other things. We changed the menu multiple times, and she was on top of it all every time! I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a fantastic reception venue.”
“In short: we couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. We worked with Taliah to plan and prepare our wedding there, and the process was incredibly smooth, detailed, and organized. She left no stone unturned and helped us make decisions on things we never would have thought about - there are so many things, both large and little, that make for a great wedding, and it was clear on our day that they were ready for all of them. Every single person we interacted with at every level of staff was very kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Our guests remarked on how amazing the venue is; pictures barely do it justice.

BUT If you’re planning to go to Byblos and If you see a guy named SAJED I can’t take him seriously on my mom’s life I can’t. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ANNOY SAJED AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! Every time I’m invited to a wedding at Byblos, the guys that work there act silly at Byblos when no one is looking, or when Joe is not here they throw napkins and coffee creamers at each others faces, the bar attendant I don’t know her name I heard her making funny hilarious jokes that I didn’t even understand though, but at the same time she’s very polite and professional to the costumers that come to the bar. But out of all BYBLOS IS THE BEST! Joe is the best and Nisreen is the best!”

“Beautiful building. Worth a stop in if you are into art deco or staying at a nearby hotel. There are very good coffee places nearby. I recommend the audio tours you can find on trip advisor.
Staff was hit and miss. Once, friendly and accommodating , another time, curt when a wedding was being prepared for in the morning. (There were no signs, placards or any indication that there was no access to the ground floor areas, so it’s really not on the general public to know these things, is it?)

Well run, clean, sound was good, beautiful back beer garden out back, friendly crowd… this is a great place to see up-and-coming bands and I can imagine it’s gaining a reputation for that, for good reason. Only thing is no dedicated parking and nothing obvious nearby.”

“i’m white it was hot. Not too bad but I’m just sensitive to the sun.So I had not only an umbrella but a little blanket on the umbrella, my darker skin friend was fine on the hot black monolithic amphitheater of the Carhartt stage. So when I felt my life force draining out of me, I went down a little further to the stage level, in there to the right was all the shade I could possibly want. And don’t tell anybody but hidden plumbed women’s bathrooms. Mums the word. Above us were thousands of people using Porta potty’s and then maybe tens of people knew about the women’s bathroom. But anyway 4 days ,three stages free music! The food trucks were jammin. I drank my weight in yummy lemonade. Now the GPS that I was using on my phone could not tell me how to get to this festival from ann arbor though I tried several times. it could not tell me where any parking was closer than 10 miles which was just …I don’t know I fell into some kind of Internet black hole. So we decided to go anyway and just research on the ground. Then amazingly free Street parking was right there handy. That was a stroke of luck I’m sure. But there was also a sign for $10 parkingOn the street adjacent parking lot.”
“Took the family here to enjoy the pool. Especially liked that parents did not have to pay if just watching their kids swim. The pool was fun and enjoyable for the kids and that is just what we were looking for on a rainy day. The reason I gave it 4/5 star is because I thought the lifeguards could do a better job monitoring behavior.”

“Held my father’s repast there a week ago and the venue was perfect for my family. A great space for just enough folks, clean, intimate, and affordable. My only concern was I had to call several times to reach the owner to have someone come unlock the closet with the controls to the sound system and to get access to a plunger (a guest used too much tp and clogged the toilet). When I did reach him he sent someone right over to help. Everything turned out awesome!! Thank you Suite 813!!”

“I wish I took more photos of the actual food but I'm not gonna lie we were pretty buzzed by the time our food came out so I forgot ;) This was my second time having Mother Handsome but my first time dining in. We went the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving. They were BUSY, I could tell they had a ton of carry out orders as well as big parties all around the restaurant. Service was a little slow just because of how busy they were, but honestly we did not care. Hands down the Raspberry Fig Martini was the best cocktail I have ever had hands down (I am a sucker for Chambord). My boyfriend ended up branching out a little more than I did and all the cocktails we tried were 10/10. They had this game on all the tables that we loved and played the entire 2 1/2 hours we were there, and I could tell most of the other tables were playing it as well. It was basically just a bunch of random questions on cards, some fun and simple and some so profound we had to skip them because they brought tears to my eyes and I did indeed have 3 of those martinis.
The cheese bread is amazing, their sauce is a 10/10. Last time we ordered take out we got the Buffalo Chicken pizza and this time we got the Mom's House. Literally both are out of this world. I'm originally from NY so I LOVE their pizza style. A delicious thinner crust without burning the absolute life out of the bottom. New favorite pizza and cocktail spot, will be returning again and again.
