Truly, our experience was magical from beginning to end. The space itself is absolutely stunning and filled with history and character. There are endless opportunities to make your wedding feel unique, and the fact that it’s truly a one-stop shop makes the planning process so much easier. Instead of spending your time worrying about tables, chairs, and logistics, you get to spend it on the details that actually bring you joy.
My husband and I knew this was the place the moment we walked in, and a huge part of that was Amber, our Sales Director. From day one, Amber could not have been more warm, inviting, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding everything we wanted it to be. Throughout the entire planning process, she poured so much care and attention into our experience. She made us feel heard, supported, and excited every step of the way, and by the end of it, she truly felt more like a friend than someone we were simply working with.
Amber is exceptional at what she does, and the Gem Theatre is incredibly lucky to have her. Every detail came together flawlessly, and we were able to actually enjoy our wedding knowing we were in such capable hands.
And let me tell you, we threw a BASH. I’ve lost count of how many friends and family members have called or texted us since the wedding to say, “That was the best wedding I’ve ever been to!”
From the incredible food, to the wonderful staff, to the endless once-in-a-lifetime photos throughout this stunning theatre, we truly could not have imagined a better wedding experience.

“The Fillmore Detroit, Live music venue, 323 km from Toronto. Five stars, a week ago, 9 views. Been here after a football game, great concert. Love this place.
We drove down for a Lions game at Ford Field and walked to the Fillmore after, just ten minutes. The marquee you see in my first photo lit up at night, red and yellow neon, classic Detroit theater vibe. Inside is stunning, ornate plaster, balconies, chandeliers, feels like a palace.
We saw In This Moment as you can see on the stage screen in my second photo, green lights, fog, packed floor. The video clip 0:12 is from that set, band under spotlights with cathedral props, sound was massive. Crowd shot with plus four shows how full it was, all ages, great energy.
Drinks are pricey but fast, security smooth, merch line moved. Acoustics are excellent for a historic hall, you can hear every guitar.
If you are in Detroit for football, pair it with a show at the Fillmore. Free parking at Greektown if you eat there, easy walk. Staff friendly, venue clean, lots of history. Great place to end a football weekend. Will definitely be back next time we cross the border soon.”

Nicole embodies the true meaning of community and ushers guest into a warm and inviting atmosphere. That level of consumer service skills are exhibited throughout the venue. The house representative, Kandi has applied those same customer service skills so cohesively. Kandi is the epitome of professionalism. Effectively knowing how NOT to micromanage but be there every step of the way. That's an art many have not been able to achieve. Both young ladies are informative, accommodating, and goes the extra mile for the residents they serve. The establishment and staff is a hidden gem in the heart of Detroit and I strongly recommend this venue.”
“Our room was spacious, and we had our own parking spot right in front of it. The inn's location is great; easy walking distance to downtown. Founders Brewing is close by. We felt safe. The owner, Mona, really aimed to please. Her breakfasts were delicious. Lots to do in Detroit; we're looking forward to returning. When we do, we'll stay at this wonderful inn.”
