“Very easy place to shop for so many things. I usually end up getting more than I have came for because of price and selection. So many crafts and potential possibilities are endless. Great selection on perty decorations and also cards for any occasion. They really do fit a lot inside the stores and should drop by for yourself to get the idea yourself.”

“This is one of the best Dollar Generals out there. They don't always have my water flavorings in stock though. But the staff are usually friendly and I usually find what I need here. Their clearance aisle also is worth checking out. And they're usually good about customers using the restrooms.”

“I go here a lot for easy in and out. The convenience of most everything I could need. I can't imagine anywhere you live should be one close. I just don't like big grocery stores for the amount of people you have to struggle with. I think you get a better service when you don't have to check out yourself. “I’m so sad that I have to share my utter disappointment with one of my go-to stores. The shelves are empty and the aisles are filled with unopened boxes. I use a walker and cannot navigate around the chaos. The hours are sporadic and I am neve sure if they will be open. The “managers” are often outside smoking and just hanging out. Please get your act together ?”

“This store is perfect for that last minute idem that you need. There's a nice selection of products that are smaller and cheaper than big box. And it's right down the street from where I live. Bonus!!Seasonal stuff rotation with the season. And new stuff all the time. Always a quick store to stop at sometimes faster than gas station.”

“I came in here for a very specific shopping list, to look for manicure items and supplies for my scuba diving kit. I was able to score both sets of items at this family dollar. The location is convenient, in a strip mall on west main with other stores of various quality and price points, so if you can't get what you need there you can check here!”

“I've been going to every dollar general store from Indiana heading north into Michigan. Stopping to see if they have clothes and making a note on which ones are still caring clothing. It saddens me to find out most dollar General's are not caring clothing anymore. I don't understand corporate decision for eliminating the clothing. I live the line of summer dresses they carry. Every year I buy their dresses and everyone always complements me on how nice my dresses are. They are responsible. Why are they taking the clothes away ? They really could discontinue other products then clothing. I feel they should take a survey. Some rural stores are the only store in town and should carry clothing. Not whats good for one store is good for all. I hope more people will complain like me so we can change corporates mind and bring back clothing. Everyone I tell can't beleive they are not going to carry clothing anymore. Very disappointed. I think they will lose the business to family dollar, sad to say. That's where I shopped before for clothes 5 years ago until I went to dollar General and fell in love with there dresses. I've shopped there ever since. SO PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP THE CLOTHES AT DOLLAR GENERAL !!!!!!!!!”

“Just fine, no issues, besides I think they need a bigger building, they have a lot of variety in a tight spaces, with displays everywhere making it a little more difficult to maneuver around from aisle to aisle, but other than that, it's a very clean & friendly store, with very helpful & courteous employees, who stay busy throughout the day...”

“I'm adding this review to the Portage Ave. store. Not very often do you go into a DG and have not one but all the staff great you and ask if you need help. The people working Saturday January 6th, day shift around 12:-1pm were all so helpful. The store was nice, clean and well stocked. Also something you don't see often at a DG. I am sure this company doesn't have great reviews but I wanted to give credit where credit was due. I have another DG that is closer to me, but from now on I will only go to this one. Management should be very happy with their staff and give them some kudos.”
