“I occasionally tag along with my wife when she goes shopping in downtown Petoskey. We stop in and browse at PEcado during many of those trips. I have a career background in product design and I am always impressed with this store, in its lineup of clothing and accessories, the store design itself, and especially the staff. From my perspective this shop has one of the most progressive and forward looking layouts, displays, and selections in northern Michigan, a smaller scale version of a higher end shop that you could find in the major cities. Likewise the owner and staff are friendly, patient, and professional.Also, I want to give them a shout out based on my first hand experience during the recent 2023 Petoskey Ladies Night Out. Many of the stores were simply horrible to the few guys who were there with their wives/partners. PEcado was one of the select few who were very friendly, kind, and welcoming to those men of which I was one.Based on my experience that evening, I know which stores I will be going to purchase my wife’s Christmas gifts from…PEcado is on that very short list.”

“This is a wonderful little shop. They have a bunch of those topographical (3D) wood carvings that go so great on the wall. They are also at pretty decent prices, too. I've seen them in Tahoe for almost double the price. Primarily an apparel shop, there are many fun options to show-off your life at the lakes. Ceramics, melamine plates, playing cards, tumblers and canvas bags. We came away with a couple of cool 3D's for only $99 a piece, Great Lakes hats and a super impressive cork map of the holy land. So, you see, it's not all about Michigan lakes. They have a smaller selection. But more than enough. The young fellow there was playing some old school Epic and bent over backwards to help us. All in all a great shoppe. 02/24”

“I arrived about 5 minutes before the store closed, in a panic, looking for a dress for a holiday party a night before I needed it. Janae (sp?) not only diligently and very politely helped me find a dress, but she stayed late, way past closing time, with a smile on her face. Great store and great staff!”

“Nice store with friendly, welcoming staff. It’s mens and womens clothing and accessories. Even if you don’t need anything you should just stop in to look around. Fun IRL shopping! They have all kinds of cool displays, and of course the merchandise is interesting, not all the same stuff you see everywhere else. Perfect if you like to find unique, but somewhat classic items. P.S. Check out the bargain basement.”
