My only recommendation is to somehow upgrade the quality of the coffee and the coffee station. Not sure if the machines are old, but the coffee can be very bitter, but then again the customer service and staff makes up for it, and I can always go down the road for coffee. ?”

Three of the pharmacy folks asked me what we needed and hastened it as best they could, literally through the door in big boxes on a cart. I’ve been a loyal customer here since I moved up here 5 years ago. Best customer service I’ve ever witnessed and the community are all loyal customers as well due to this team of employees. However J & H Family Stores that bought it recently, are really starting to ward off the locals, not the employees, how the “family owned corporation” is “managing” the store. It really is unfortunate. And saddens me to see the employees that are in fact not only the image but the heartbeat of this store slowly dwindle, J & H might experience why others have had to pack it up when they fail and why they fail in the future like other corporations in our tourist town.”

The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.
