“Booked The Daxton in Birmingham for a wedding weekend and it ended up being one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a long time. I’m not exaggerating when I say it might be the nicest Hilton hotel I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we checked in, the service was incredible, friendly, quick, and on top of everything without being overbearing. The room was beautiful, super clean, and felt more upscale than your typical “wedding hotel” situation. The bed was absurdly comfortable, the kind where you instantly consider changing your life so you can sleep like that every night. I also appreciated the free waters and snacks, it sounds small, but it’s such a nice touch when you’re coming and going all weekend. We ended up spending a lot of time at the in-hotel restaurant and bar and both were amazing, which made the whole trip feel effortless. Phenomenal place all around, I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.”

“I came for the weekend from Canada in October for an anniversary trip, and this was truly a 10/10 stay. The staff here are the best I’ve ever encountered. Lamar and Kiro were incredibly welcoming, kind, funny and genuine. They made the entire experience feel special from start to finish. And Daris truly made our weekend, going above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible. I can’t thank him enough. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean, and exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend anyone traveling to the area to stay here, you won’t regret it!”
“A group stay was setup for my family traveling for a funeral through Marne at the front desk and it was great. The location, amenities and service were all amazing. The rooms and lobby were clean and well kept. The breakfast was a good option especially as we headed out in the early morning. I highly recommend this hotel as it is also located near a lot of other great shopping and dining options.”

“My very first time staying at this hotel was in 2008 shortly after they’d done some renovations and stayed there multiple times over a 2 year span before I moved to the East Coast. I recently stayed there after many years and the stay was very pleasant. The rooms were still clean, comfy and convenient! Breakfast was nice and the staff were incredibly courteous and wonderful to interact with. The location is ideal for me when I have occasion to visit and I will certainly return!”

“We used the Locale for my daughter's bridal party to get ready during the day and to go back and forth to Salon U for hair & make-up. It was absolutely beautiful and the perfect place for such an occasion! The decor and vibe was very much what my daughter envisioned for her special day. Having a mini fridge and kitchen area was perfect for light snacks and drinks as well! Bride and groom returned to stay in the upstairs area after their reception and said it was just perfect!! Thank you for an amazing place to celebrate my beautiful daughter!”
“The room overall was a good experience. It stayed a bit stuffy/warm even turning the air on. We stayed on the 2nd floor.
Biggest reason for the review was Karen. She was soo hospitable. What’s sad is that’s really rare these days. She helped make our stay wonderful. There was also a night attendant that followed her shift and my interaction was brief with them. They were very kind as well. If this is a reflection of most of the staff, this location should count themselves fortunate.
Another note the pool and hot tub were great as well!”

“I stayed at the Extended Stay in Madison Heights for three nights over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price. While the hotel is older, everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The hallways were always quiet, which made for a peaceful stay. Every staff member I interacted with was polite, professional, and friendly.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the air conditioning kept the room perfectly cool. I appreciated having a kitchen in the room, and the front desk provided dishes and silverware upon request. The grab-and-go breakfast was simple but satisfying, with delicious coffee, a muffin, and a breakfast bar.
The location is convenient to the interstate, making it easy to get around, and parking was hassle-free. Overall, a great value and a comfortable stay — I would definitely return.”
“Tim and Sara are the best… I booked a Double Queen suite through booking.com and they gave me a single full… and Tim did his best and was so nice about it to accommodate me and my 4 children. Definitely would book again”

“What a life saver in a time crunch. We had a previous hotel reserved. On arrival we noticed the place to look well. On the outside. People were leaving due to multiple bug infestations. Upon further reviews and history we couldn't stay there. It was completely gross.
That's when we found Sonesta Simply Suites. The staff was incredibly sweet and understanding. Helped us figure out a room and at a better rate than the previous place. Very informative and helpful with us not knowing the area.
I could not have been more satisfied with the way this hotel is run. The rooms themselves were immaculately clean. Full refrigerator, two top stoves, dishwashers, dishes and pots and pans. Down stairs upon asking, she has extra for free use. Like crockpots and more pots and pans. Games for families.
To put it this way, all hotels should learn from this one. True customer service all the way around! Cleanliness and care for the hotel is obviously seen throughout.
Highly, highly, highly recommend!”

“I do not understand all the bad reviews and I am guessing many of them are fake. This hotel is way better than anything else in the area for the same price. The rooms have been recently updated, great customer service, and very dog friendly. I was able to bring 2 dogs and the total was over $30 cheaper than Travelodge for a one night stay. I stay at hotels often and this will be my go to 2 star hotel that I bring my dogs to. Every room has a mini fridge and microwave. The Travelodge and Days Inn that are about the same price as Red Roof Inn are rundown and I used to stay at them since I am a Whyndham Rewards member but I will only be using Whyndham for 2.5 star and above going forward. I stayed at Rodeway Inn down the road too and this Red Roof Inn is way better. I even like it better than the Baymont that serves free breakfast. Red Roof Inn will be my new go to with my dogs when I don't have sitter for them. Great location right off of 75 and there are so many places to eat and shop near the hotel. Check out the 168 Asian Mart and other unique ethnic stores while you are in the area.”
