“This store is amazing! Very involved in the community. They take donations and give items to who ever needs them. Easter time, they make baskets for area children. I can’t say enough about them! The store itself is awesome. It’s a treasure and I’m thankful it’s in my area!”

“I didn't know bacon could be so good....well I did but this is a good old country experience like you just don't see anymore. It's a real hometown country store. With the prize being the bacon and fresh cut meats and high quality age beef that would satisfy any carnivore. It's pricey but for the quality service and experience it's well worth the stop. Try the chocolate covered bacon.”
“Super nice guys here talked for a while and introduced ourself as new home owners in the area. Was friendly and felt welcomed. Looked around and seen they had quite an extensive selection of stuff, food drinks toys and beach items. Everything a weekender would need that they may have forgotten at home.

“This store used to be called Arlene's by locals who knew the previous owner, including myself.
I'd walk here often still in a swimsuit from the lake all the time as a kid to grab any number of staples and unique goods alike.
Plenty of niche and interesting candy, toys and drinks were stocked for kids like us.
Arlene's water gun selection was impeccable, and Arlene was always greatly amused by and very nice to kids like us.
These days we're all grown, many have moved away in every which direction and neither Arlene nor her husband are with us any longer yet I hear the new owner has done quite well with the hallowed establishment.
If my busy military career ever permits sometime this century I'll try to return and see how well exactly the place is getting on, and how similar or different to decades gone by the building and inventory are.
Thanks for keeping this lovely and nostalgic party store going for newer generations in any case, New Management.

“Today I was in the check-out line when an older gentleman behind me started being very creepy and trying to put his hand on my stomach and waist. THE YOUNG MAN RUNNING THE REGISTER JUMPED TO MY RESCUE IMMEDIATELY AND WITHOUT HESITATION! He told the guy to stop and get out of the store. He made sure I was not made to be uncomfortable another moment.
I didn't catch the young man's name but his momma done raised him right. He sternly and quickly called out the creepy old man and made sure I was safe. I'm so stinking grateful! I was so stunned as it all happened I was speechless, so I didnt get to thank the employee as I should of. I hope he sees this review and knows how grateful I am.”
