“We just adopted Cody now named Ace. He is the BEST cat ever already and we’ve only had him for 4 hours. He fit right in. He’s cuddling, purring, and exploring all his new toys and home. He follows us everywhere we go. The adoption process was SO easy and all the staff and volunteers were all so sweet and helpful. We are even coming back this week looking to rescue one more fur baby. ?❤️”

“Very interesting place. The event I attended was an art exhibit. Senior artists created a plethora of art in a variety of mediums. The facility as a whole is well thought out with space for activities and personal care assistance. I was informed they offer advocate services, mentorship and community fellowship events. Parking is readily available and easy to access. I really enjoyed the event”

“This is the best place for families with kids doing therapy or in-patient testing. The staff is absolutely the nicest and kindest people I've met outside the children's hospital. It is like a 5 star hotel and they have so many things for you when you forget the small stuff, to help you out. I wish I had stayed when my son was first born and in the NICU for 4 months. I donate my change every time at McDonald's! They made the hardest moments of life easier to handle because they thought of everything for you before you even arrived❤️”

“My grandson and I were impressed with the amount of selections that were priced so that even a 12 year old young man's allowance was sufficient for gift giving. We were rushed through the gallery because we arrived only 15 minutes prior to closing, but we will return again for several gifts that my grandson is still talking about for birthday gifts.”

“Freindly, fun, very social. Had a great time, food was fabulous. Had the the old style feeling of the way Wyandotte drinking establishments use to be. Liked it so much I became a member.”

“Really nice staff here and amazing finds. I'm from Toronto and I wasn't even looking to buy and I got a good quality Blue Jays for $2 and a RW&CO blazer for $18. I was shocked by the blazer knowing RW's prices. I would suggest popping in, you may be surprised to find something really good.”

“Im completely new to bikes—so as you can guess, I don’t have any tools myself. A couple of friends took me to this place to help me fix up a bike I got off FB marketplace. I was blown away!! The staff and volunteers were amazing and took the time to teach me. I learned so much and feel really good about the work I did on my bike. Great resource for the community. Thanks all!”

“I love The Hub and Back Alley Bikes! Whether I need a piece of advice, a new tube, or a full tune up, The Hub is always my first stop. The staff is always super kind, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The shop always has quality bikes and if they don’t have the parts I’m looking for they are quick to offer placing an order. Back Alley is also an incredible asset to have around with the amount of apartment dwellers that lack ample space to wrench on bikes. I love The Hub and Back Alley and I will tell anybody that will listen!!”

“This is my 1st. Year as a Pack Leader. I was formally a Girl Scout Leader for 6 years. So transferring over to Boy Scouts I realized is to complete separate entities. Nothing is similar. They do things completely different... So when I first came here it was sort of intimidating but my nerves were set, by a lady named Regina. She was not only helpful in explaining to me some useful tips on our pack. But she also pointed me in the direction and what to do with some of our Scouts who were low-income and needed uniforms. I also want to mention how helpful Kevin from this district is and I believe Bob is someone else I spoke with who is also very helpful. The drive is worth it. Literally your one-stop-shop. I chose to go to the Detroit District instead of Troy. You wouldn't know and by the looks of it outside but this place literally has everything you need. At The Boy Scout shop you will find every single thing you need from uniforms to trophies to badges and patches here. If you are scout leader need guidance or need supplies for your pack or advice I recommend coming here.”

“Although they kept changing my therapists, they were great and my case worker (Ryan?) was awesome and went out of his way to help me at the social security office. He helped me during a very difficult time in my life. Looking back, I realize he probably didn't have to do that, he went above and beyond. And I just want to say thank you to him. I don't even know if he works there anymore. But he was great. Thank you, I hope you are doing well!”

“If I ever become homeless I would not go to this place. One of the staff was taken bridge cards from the homeless and those that were working to get back on their feet was told they had to show proof of income and the staff would do a budget plan as well as hold their money claiming it as a holding for their housing. The worst scheming staff members preying on the homeless is working for COTS!”

“The ladies working there are super sweet, helpful and went out of their way to help me pick up my order. ive only taken a star away cause it's near impossible to find. But I'll tell you its across the street from a school that has some of the buildings painted beautifully with bright flowers! Sits waaay back off the street.”

“I absolutely love this place and now that I'm gone I even miss them. The majority of the employees there care about the residents. It's clean, they make sure your withdrawals are not too bad. When u 1st arrived you will be in detox 3 days or so then go over to the residents side for 29 days. The rooms have 2 to 3 people in it with its own shower/bath.
Breakfast is 7, lunch 11, dinner 4 and a snack at 8. If you're too sick to go to the dining area they will bring it to your room. Mondays and Tuesday are your long days you're in meetings from 9am to 10pm. Group meetings are mandatory every day 9-11. Church is on Sunday and Bible Study on Wednesday. They will help u get on your feet so u can survive when u get out. Oh and the men monitors are cute too, i know one resident who has started messing around with one recently. But the majority of them are not like that. It's a spiritually grounded place where God is first. Oh and you get to keep your phone and smoke whenever you want to. Let's see what else , Oh the food is good now it wasn't when I 1st got there but we complained about it at our weekly meeting and it has improved, a lot! As far as I'm concerned it's one of the best around, but I've only been to one other Christian guidance center, i caught COVID there. I was only there for 2 weeks but they never took my vitals when I was there. And Harbor Light checks them every 4 hours when you're in detox. And once you have completed everything you will get a certificate and a coin. Oh and u have to drop weekly, Oh and they also have a medical mobile unit that comes every Thursday iu need blood work or whatever done. Teally cool joint that I highly recommend”
