“Today we had to send our girl to the Rainbow Bridge. I can honestly say that this facility treated us with kindness, compassion, and respect. When I called to make the appointment, Wendy was very sympathetic to me, listened to me and all of my concerns. She gave me multiple choices and we went with the private cremation. The staff were all so very kind. When and if we decide to get another furbaby we will definitely be coming here. I was impressed by their professionalism and care.
Edited to add photos, today I picked up our girl's cremains, I was surprised to find a beautiful box with her name on it, he paw prints and an ornaments. I cannot express how much I am impressed by the kindness.”
“The Doctors and all the help treat the animals as if they are their own. There is usually anxiety with my cats, but they do their best to make them feel comfortable. If there are any concerns, they will get you in on short notice even if it means staying after hours.”

It's a little expensive when you do the whole process of cremation but they will provide the euthanasia and release the corpse to you to bury or take to an independent taxidermy or crematory.”

I can’t thank VCA enough for what they did for me and my family.
We took our cat to another vet, far from home, initially, because they accepted our godawful pet insurance.
The news was bad. Very bad. We took him home for one last day of all the love and scritches, and all the treats he wanted. We cried a lot.
We called VCA the next day, and told them our situation. They managed to get us in same day.
We had to pay for another exam (good, I don’t want to be able to pay money to kill a healthy cat), and they confirmed our initial vet’s findings. It was time to let our precious boy go.
The grace and kindness they showed us…incredible. I’m not exaggerating when I say the entire care team here treated me and my cat better than I could have imagined. I had been through my mother’s loss already at OSU’s teaching hospital, and I can’t stress enough: VCA treated me better about my cat’s passing than OSU treated me about my mother’s.
They let us stay with him. They let us sing little songs and read poems to him as he left us. When we weren’t ready to go right away, they let us have another few minutes with his body.
And, as we waited outside on the curb for our Uber home, we saw them carry him over to wherever his body would be kept until being transferred to the crematory. And here’s the thing: they carried him with such love. He was gone. And they had no reason to believe we’d still be watching. And [idk the vet or vet techs name] still carried him with such love and care, close to their chest.
My memories here are terrible and painful, and I’ll still recommend VCA on Bancroft until I’m blue in the face. They were even understanding and kind when we struggled to get a ride to pick up his ashes.

“It’s been almost a year since Ziggy could go for a walk because of his luxating patella, but he’s finally back at it for the first time today thanks to Dr. Brown! I was extremely nervous for him to undergo surgery since he’s 10 years old, but all of the staff at Shoreland were phenomenal. I’m very picky about who takes care of my baby and haven’t been very impressed with other animal hospitals or vets, but I give Shoreland an 11 out of 10!! Thank you for fixing Ziggy! He’s such a happy dog now!”

“Amazing staff here. They did everything they could for my cat when my general vet failed us terribly. My cat was too far gone to make it unfortunately. I’ve never lost a fur baby of my own.
They treated her with respect, were detailed, very compassionate, and realistic with the expectations. Can’t say enough positive things about med vet. Dr Kain is the best. To set up aftercare I was too much of a mess to be on the phone so they texted me the options and made it very easy.”
“We had an emergency with our 2-year-old cat, Neela, on Saturday. Our regular vet was closed, and the emergency clinic wasn’t open yet. After calling several local offices, this one was the only place willing to see us — and I’m so glad they did!
They got us in right away, and the visit was much more affordable than an emergency clinic. Dr. Emily was incredibly kind and took the time to explain everything she found. She even addressed another health issue that our regular vet had never offered treatment options for. The vet tech was just as wonderful — attentive, knowledgeable, and so caring toward both Neela and us.
Because of this experience, we’re switching all of our pets’ care to this office permanently. I can’t recommend them enough!”
