Goodwill Northern Michigan in Traverse City is a long-standing nonprofit thrift store with pre-owned clothing, furniture, housewares, and more. It is a good, very clean, and organized store with many options and friendly staff. Purchases and donations help deliver food to pantries and help people access shelter and housing in Northern Michigan. Shoppers can find good name brands in good condition at low prices, along with items like shoes, costume jewelry, and glasses. A convenient drive-through donation center is available. The store offers a discount for service members or vets and has a 30-day return policy for store credit. A noted downside is that clothes are not washed, so they may have an odor. The store also lacks fitting rooms, which some find inconvenient. Occasionally, shelves can appear bare, but the business responds positively to feedback.
Big store but several overpriced stuff. Broken, dirty, nobody cares. Dollar store items, and I was told nothing can be priced for less than 3.99. I don't shop much at goodwill anymore. I can find better cheaper stuff elsewhere
