“Great shop. A few shirts, lots of coasters, a ton of plants, and plenty of other local art. Oh and socks. Cool socks with plenty of snarky options. Don't skip on upstairs if you like plants.”
“I just received my dress from Yana Dee and I absolutely love it. That’s saying a lot because I seem to have difficulty finding dresses that I like. It fits perfectly, it’s just beautifully made and designed and so comfy!! So happy!”
“Great store, cute clothing selection (clearly meant to be slightly western, don't know how reviews can knock it for what was clearly advertised). Salesgirl was really nice and prices were a little more reasonable than some nearby stores.”
“I've always loved this store, the women are always wonderful, the clothes are always great. I wish the brand would go back edgy, more skulls, skully/flowers, heading grammaish.”
“Big shout-out to my beautiful ladies at Maurices! These girls know style. In the last two weeks I have bought two dresses for events that I'm attending and they helped style it all the way down to the jewelry!”
“My wife and I recently visited Joe’s store, and he was the ultimate host. My wife got a pair of boots, and Joe explained the fascinating history behind them. She also picked up a vest that looks like it belongs in a certain British show. Joe made the entire experience fun and fruitfully, even laughing at my lame jokes. We look forward to our next visit.”
“Love that Haystacks is made and owned locally AND has cute clothes! The staff is amazing, so helpful and friendly. They showed me outfits and sizes that fit my own style. It’s very versatile clothing. Comfortable, can be dressed up or down. Today I left with an ADORABLE gray cardigan and the silky reversible pants in a floral print. The sweatpants and sweatshirts are super cute and not too casual.
There are some pricey things in the store. Worth it since they are high quality and classic and beautiful fabrics. Other things are very reasonably priced. Really nice cotton sweaters for $45. Sale skirts that are adorable for $25. Lots of other things too.”
“Little gem in Traverse City. Love shopping local here. The clothing and accessories are timeless and fashion-forward all at the same time, but my favorite part is the upstairs which is filled with beautifully unique home goods. The gals are so nice and give great advice and feedback when you ask for it. Highly recommend!”
“I always enjoy popping into l.a.cool for a friendly, fun, and expertly curated shopping experience. It’s hands down my favorite clothing shop in northern Michigan and beyond… All of the ladies including Aubrey, Karley, and Domonique are super helpful and genuine, and are great with styling pieces. A vast selection of denim, timeless staples, outerwear, dresses, resort wear, and accessories keeps me coming back frequently. Some of my favorite purchases include handbags from Wandler & Hereu, dresses from Jonathan Simkhai & Loulou Studio, denim from Ulla Johnson & Frame, and outerwear from Lisa Yang & TWP.”
“I like the fact that they carry larger size clothing. Seems most stores these days only go up to a 2xl, and once it's washed it doesn't fit anymore. They have a nice variety of stuff. Staff has been very friendly and helpful each time I've visited. Nothing negative so far.”
“GET THE STEPSTOOL, THIS PLACE IS TOP SHELF! The lady Katie will blind you with her totally awesome knowledge and disposition. Locally made products to support MICHIGAN!!!”
“Has a variety of items to offer and always buys something when I bring clothes and shoes in. Atmosphere is playful and the staff are often joking with each other which makes it an amusing experience.”
“I recently returned a pair of pants that they did not have to accept, and the lady that helped me Kari and did so without hesitation made everything very smooth and easy and I thank you very much for your time and help I recommend anyone having trouble to speak with Kari”
“I received the most wonderful service from Kim at Macy’s this past Thursday. Not only was she friendly and courteous, Kim cared enough to “go the extra mile”.
I was in a hurry as I stopped to pay my Macy’s bill. Kim’s registrar did not read my check properly so she volunteered to go to another register and try to process the payment. Then, Kim called me when the transaction was complete and additionally, volunteered to send the payment stub to my home!
In the meantime, I had left the store to get to my meeting on time!
Thank you Kim and Macy’s!”
“I was helping my grandpa shop for my grandma this year, this store is wonderful! Unfortunately they didn't have what he was looking for but they went out of their way to recommend other downtown shops and their recommendations were spot on! Great customer service! Thanks, and Merry Christmas!”
“My hubbie likes alpacas so we stopped in. This boutique - selling everything alpaca - is one of the shops in the Village Commons (the old asylum). Believe it or not my hubbie bought a $50 alpaca stuffed animal. It was super duper soft and cute. He said it's going to sit in his office. I suppose he could have spent the money on worse things! The cashier was very sweet and informative. She spoke of an alpaca farm that we could visit (to further satisfy my hubbie's alpaca fix)!”
“Amazing customer service every time I've been, and being a Hot Topic with the classic metal gates really brings back memories! I stop in here every time I go through the mall.”
“My absolute favorite clothing store, not just in Traverse City, but in general. I get so many compliments on my outfits as I work downtown, and I always tell them the same thing. “I got it from Eleven” ❤️”
“Need cost effective tourist stuff? This is your place. Many items are below $10 and a great deal for kids who will grow into the next size in a matter of months.”
“Store was super clean. Staff were friendly. I was offered a bag to shop with. Fitting rooms were clean and no wait to get into the fitting room. Slight line at cash register but that is to be expected shopping prime time on the weekend. Cashier called for back up once the line got to 3 people.”
“This place is so cool! Eclectic, fun finds! Not cheap but definitely worth the splurge! Always a Traverse City destination! Thank, Joey, for all your help, amazing service!”
“Great selection of clothing with different price points, quality brands and things with color! The owner and other employees are helpful and honest. I come every year. Thank you!”
“Talbot's is a boutique style chain store that appears to cater to the clothing needs of a mature woman as well as younger folks. This is not easy to find but Talbot's meets the need. The sales staff were friendly but not pushy. We made it purchase, and felt good about it as we left.”
“I was visiting family for the Cherry Festival and loved the shirts! There was a great selection, very organized. Cashier Amanda was amazing, so friendly and personable despite being busy!”
“Carley at checkout was very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. She desires a raise.
My suggestion is that on Monday there should be at least 1-2 more staff members working just to help straighten displays and to restock.”
“Went in tonight(2/9/24) around 7pm with my cousin to grab a few things. Can't remember their names, two girls and a guy working and they were amazing. Super helpful and kind. Very informative on the samples and full size products we bought. Great experience!”
“My favorite clothes come from Sincerely Betty. It's the best store in Traverse City, maybe in Michigan! It's a fun place to shop. There's always something new and interesting to try on. Great service and selection. Check it out, you'll be glad you did!”
“Love the store and the workers specifically Zach. Helped us out with pricing and correct me on the what i thought was a bathroom but is actually a changing room. Overall happy experience.”
