“My review is based on touring the apartment with Dana. Excellent experience and with his knowledge of buildings beyond the typical leasing manager, I was able to ask a few more specific questions. The only thing that kept me from getting a unit was my large employer suddenly transferred me to another city and made it more difficult to choose Auburn Hills (no work from home for us). But would’ve been at the top of my list if I had stayed in that area. I haven’t seen very many people utilizing the clubhouse or lounges at their apartments in metro Detroit but I saw probably three or four young professionals on their laptops in the lounge and another one in the gym working out. You see that more in a places like Jersey City but because of the quantity of young working professionals. Definitely didn’t have the student dorm vibe I was concerned with a school nearby. Full size washer and dryer too between kitchen and master bathroom.”

“I lived here June 2024-2025 and it was overall a good living experience. My main complaint is that marketing the complex as “luxury” is a bit of a stretch, when the unrenovated apartments look like they haven’t been updated at all since the early 2000s. I lived in an unrenovated 1 bedroom and was shocked that they bumped the rent up to $1440 after I moved out when you can see the dated kitchen flooring peeling up behind the appliances. The common areas (entryway & hallways) in my building smelled horrible with various stains on the carpeting that never got professionally cleaned or replaced, despite my multiple requests to do so. The gym is also kind of sad with aged equipment that needs to be replaced, but still gets the job done for the average person. They marketed tennis courts and a walking trail to me when I first toured this complex—in reality, the tennis courts are so overgrown and totally unmaintained that they’re unusable, and the walking trail is really just a mowed stretch of grass alongside the very loud waterpark immediately next door.
For the price I was paying in rent, I expected better out of the “luxury amenities” the website boasts. That said, the pool is wonderful in the summertime and was always clean when I used it. Neighbors are friendly but quiet. The location is perfect, with Meijer or the beautiful nature trail down the road within walking distance, and a 5 minute drive from Costco. The management and maintenance teams were among the best I’ve had renting, and I really appreciated their patience and quick responses to the various issues I’ve needed addressed. Overall I think what they’re charging is very overpriced for the value (as is the case anywhere in this rental market), but if you want quiet, drama-free living then this is the place to be. Despite my complaints above I don’t regret living here and I’m thankful to have had a primarily pleasant experience!”
“These apartments are the best. They are big(some are 1800 sq. ft.) and visually perfect . It feels like home.
There is so much storage space within the apartments, and a good garage too.
Staff is super quick to clear snow and repair anything.
The community is full of kind, friendly and helful people.
The food trucks are so fun, and walking in the community is very enjoyable.
Location wise it is very centrally located to many many amenities, and to the freeways to get you quickly wherever you may go!

“I’ve lived at Auburn Heights Apartments for over 2 years now and have loved it the whole time. The neighborhood grounds are clean and well maintained, and there is plenty of parking available and reserved covered spots available for rent. The ‘townhouse-like’ layout and separate buildings really help to make it feel like you have your own house. The neighbors here have been really friendly too.
I work from home, so I spend most the day here, it is really comfortable and there is excellent internet connection available. The units are nice and feel very spacious, each unit has its own hot water heater and furnace, and the washer/dryer hookups are a big plus. The units are well insulated and keep the heating/AC regulated very well. Great sound attenuation too, I’ve had several different neighbors and could rarely ever hear them.
Maintenance is great, they are very quick and make sure the problems are fixed correctly. They even showed up at midnight for an emergency maintenance issue, and are very friendly too. I also love having a fenced patio area with plenty of room for seating and gardening.
The staff is always helpful and made me feel really welcome, they are good at keeping everyone informed as well. I really enjoy the 24/7 fitness room and the pool area always looks nice. There are also community events and contests throughout the year, and a rewards program where you can earn prizes. The location is great also, very close to shopping, restaurants, golf courses, parks, and just about anything else you need. I have been very happy here, Thanks Auburn Heights!”

“Super awesome place to live in, especially as a student. The apartment looks beautiful, the interior is great, and the gym has free weights! The best part, however, is the staff. They are incredibly easy to contact and are always a text or call away. Two folks in particular--Alexxis Locke and Angelo Johnson--go above and beyond. I locked myself out of my apartment on a weekend, and they had someone down here and ready to let me back in within minutes. Anytime I have a problem or something to discuss, I go down and chat with Alexxis. Fantastic employee who deserves every raise and promotion in the book!”

“I had to rewrite my review because the team here is AMAZING! Darien and Karen are a powerhouse at running this place. The previous leasing company (LR took over in Jan of 2024), had left some issues in the units but they quickly resolve any of them, and so quickly. I cannot attest to these guys enough.
Additionally the units are perfectly spacious, and well upkept with this team. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and the neighbors are all so friendly.
