“Cannot save enough good things about Banfield Utica. I have been taking my fur babies here for over 13 years. They helped me through the loss of my dog who passed last year and was the first pup that I brought Banfield too.
You are treated like family here. The whole staff is wonderful but I have to shout out Dr. Drew for being one of the best vets I have worked with. I trust him completely with all 4 of my animals. I will continue to go to Banfield as long as he is there. Alicia, Gina, Mia and Sabrina are a few others that go above and beyond for me and my pets.”

“Our 6YO dogs rear legs were giving out . We took her to our vet and he gave her a shot and sent us home. She was good for 7 days and then was worse than before. We took her to see Doc Mena . He gave her a thorough exam , blood , stool, urine and physical. A few days later he had the answer to why her legs were so bad , Osteoarthritis. He began treatment and within 5 weeks she was doing much better . 8 weeks and she is moving very well . I would highly recommend Dr. Mena , he is truly empathetic to your pets cause.”

“Dr. Chambers at Stony Creek Veterinary Hospital and her very kind staff have been truly AMAZING! My 2 year old Beagle mix was diagnosed in August with Humangiosarcoma. I was faced with some extremely difficult decisions because the oncologist told me she was incurable. Well I couldn't live with that. I reached out to every place I could in a short amount of time, including University of Michigan and Michigan State University for help!
I felt helpless and lost and quite frankly, angry. No one wanted to help my 2 year old with a very rare form of Humangiosarcoma. I was so disgusted in the amount of money the oncologists wanted I couldn't get past it. I started to email with my vet, Dr. Chambers from Stony Creek Veterinary Hospital in Washington Twp., MI. I never expected her to respond, thinking she was tremendously busy. Well not only did she respond, she became my rock and my support through this crisis. She was just as disappointed as I was in the oncology prices. My sweet girl could be saved and others could learn from her terrible disease. Dr. Chambers and I talked over the options and we decided to amputate. It's been a week since her surgery and I feel awful, but I just know she will be in a better place. We had to test a lymph node and we are praying it isn't positive for the cancer. Her prognosis is unknown right now, which is so scary, but I will forever be grateful to Dr. Chambers for helping my sweet girl. I truly would not be functioning if it weren't for Dr. Chambers generous heart and brilliant mind. She is one of those rare gems. I couldn't be more grateful and more impressed with her and her staff. They have treated Ghost with so much love and kindness. It has been an absolute blessing that Dr. Chambers and her staff have come into our lives. I can't THANK YOU ALL enough! Ghost thanks you for loving her and for giving her a chance for a quality and hapay life.

Easy to locate. The building is dated and the parking lot needs upgrading but decent/manageable!
Inside was very clean and SUPER calm and quiet. There were a few people there when leaving but coming in there weren't a bunch of people and animals on top of each other.

I was recommended through Petco, so I booked through Vetco website.
The check-in process was super quick and simple. As a first-time client and wellness checkup, no paperwork was necessary for me. I was asked for my basic contact information.
A separate small room for the doctor, patient, and owner is designated for the appointment.

Dr. McLaughlin was kind and gentle.
I learned a few things from him. After answering a few questions, he asked if there were any specific concerns. As someone completely new to the whole process, I was 100% sure on what to ask. I did communicate this. I was hoping for a tad bit more information on basics (do's, don'ts, general about info, things I could expect, etc.)
Even pamphlets or a link for first-timers to get information based on the animal would be super helpful.
I just felt like I didn't have all the knowledge to equip me if that makes sense. (I did some research but nowadays everyone has an opinion and it's helpful to hear what is accurate directly from a reputable source.)

I was asked for my Petco member info to confirm. A promo was used but there was a small fee that was a small surprise. It is not mentioned in the coupon terms and conditions, so informing clients during the check-in would be helpful. It was no biggie though, just a suggestion. (:

“I felt it was important to share some updates with fellow pet owners who are considering this establishment. While I initially believed the care they provide for pets was excellent based on their social media presence, I’ve since come across multiple troubling reviews that suggest a different story about the level of care they offer. In addition to my concerns about a specific staff member, a young woman with curly hair who has been involved in inappropriate relationships with underage individuals and exhibited questionable behavior on social media. I’ve learned that she has attempted to cover up these actions by attributing them to influences from Japanese “Lolita” culture, which she claims to have picked up despite being almost 30 years old. Although she appears to have shifted her attention to dating older individuals, they are still significantly younger than her, which remains highly concerning. Given these revelations, I advise fellow parents to exercise caution when bringing both your children here. While some of their online content may suggest they care for pets well, it’s highly important to consider this and other concerns to ensure everyone’s safety during your visits, from a concerned mother. I’ve rated this review as 5 stars to ensure it gets seen by more people, even though my concerns are serious.”
