“I visited Detroit for a few days and wanted to be in an area close to the Ford plant. After searching several hotels in the area, I found Sonesta and decided to give it a shot. When I first got to the grounds I was impressed with the building and the grounds. Everything outside was very clean, well-painted, and quiet. The staff was very welcoming even though I was checking in early.I was even more impressed when I got to my room. My stay was comfortable and welcoming. I will book this hotel in the future.Rooms: My room was clean and ready when I checked in early. The room had a kitchenette, an office space, a living area, and the bedroom walled off. Almost like a suite with enough space to work and relax.Safety: Very secure with room card required for entry after a certain time at nights for all entrance areas. The hotel is located close to others and the grounds were well lit.Food & drinks: There is no breakfast but the room has the facilities to cook if you want and there is complimentary coffee. I picked up a few items at a close by Walmart. There is also a mini-store at the hotel where you can get typical microwave food and drinks at a very good price.Noteworthy details: I was impressed with the grounds, the room, and the customer service. For the price, I couldn't asked for more. The hotel is located close to a lot of major chain restaurants and shopping.”

“Awesome room! The service was great and staff was super friendly. The location is very convenient and was perfect. The staff even gave us an extended check out. 10/10 would recommend.Rooms: The rooms were very clean and were cleaned again often.Nearby activities: There is a gas station with a 7-11 there. I really enjoyed walking over to the nearby Tim Hortons.”

“I stayed for four nights and it was a very good stay, the bed and pillows were comfortable there is 24 hr coffee that was really great have. Breakfast are grab and go breakfast, egg sandwiches and other continental items on the go around table. The only thing I didn’t like was that they’re weren’t any microwaves in the rooms. I would definitely stay here again.”

“3/14/24 EDIt:After speaking with the staff it came to my understanding that the issue was located to a few rooms. They then discounted my room to half rate. I decided to go ahead and give them a second chance. I stayed in a wonderful room last night. Very clean. No issues at all. It has also come to my understanding that they are going to be closing a good portion of the property to update rooms and to do maintenance. Some of the issues came from "tenants" that have now since left.Original post:I don't really know how to say this politely. My check in person was great Terrell absolutely awesome guy. .. did everything he could to assist me. He even brought me the can of raid to spray the cockroaches with... I have video.I will not be sleeping at all tonight. This is absolutely effing disgusting”

“This is a clean and fresh hotel! The room layout is very nice. Full refrigerator stove top and plates, cups, spoons, forks ect.. all come in the cost. Professional staff and a great array of food.Rooms: Very clean will appear the 4th floorWalkability: There were restaurants in walking distanceFood & drinks: The hotel get you free delivery on Uber eats and they sale drinks which can be charged to your room.”

“It’s very quiet. Bathrooms/and showers are nice. Jacuzzi rooms they got a couple. Beds are comfortable. I haven’t seen bugs or rodents. Normal price 70$ + 10$ for the key is good price for the showers alone.”

“Not really near much. More a food district rather then a shopping district. So if your visiting michigan for food..this is a good cheap place to stay.Food & drinks: Umm..theres restraunts everywhere!! Walking distance 100%. Im on foot. Completely walkable.”
