“It's as nice as your gonna get for the price they charge. For $55.00 a night and only a $5.00 refundable cash deposit is not expensive at all. Of course it could definitely use some upgrades but what place couldn't. With upgrades would most likely come with upcharge!The day time staff "front desk, maintenance, & cleaning staff" are all very friendly and attentive to any requests or concerns.Upon arrival of our last visit I had to clean the hair and soap from the shower drain as well as the toothpaste and hair in the sink. I went to the office to ask for cleaning spray when I informed them what needed to be cleaned. They provided the cleaners I asked for and was very apologetic for having checked into the room in that condition. I ran into their cleaning girl when I returned the cleaner, she was very apologetic and felt bad. I reassured her its not a huge deal, it happens to us all at some time, especially during the first month of a new job.I know I've been there a time or two myself.So with the person to person communication with the staff definitely helped my rating and review for our stay at their establishment!”

“This was a central location for us to attend a concert and eat at local restaurants. We walked from our hotel. The area is clean, safe. Lots of people walking around!Rooms: We were upgraded to the 11th floor in a full sized newly renovated 1 bedroom apartment.Safety: We walked to everywhere.Walkability: Close to restaurants. We ate at Mootz for a fabulous Ricotta pizza and Shrimp Scampi. We ate at The Dime for breakfast and Prime + Proper for dinner.Food & drinks: They are remodeling the front desk, and restaurant. The service was outstanding. The hotel is all marble and oak wood.”

“My fiancé and I have stayed here three times so far and will always continue to come back! The building itself is historic and beautiful and the secure parking is a major plus! The rooms are always clean and comfortable for our stay. The staff is also very friendly! We had an instance where we needed to move our reservation to a later date due to circumstances that were out of our control, and the staff were lovely in helping accommodate us! (I wish I could remember who it was that helped us, but thank you!!) The location is another thing we love! Within walking distance are a ton of unique restaurants!Overall, we love staying here and greatly prefer it over major hospitality chains. We always recommend it to all of our friends and family if they ever need a place to stay in Detroit!”

“Such a beautiful hotel! The architecture is stunning. The service is excellent. The valet staff is top notch, best around. Can't say enough about that service! Shout out to those guys! The food (San Morello) is delicious. Beds are clean and very comfy. Very convenient location. Gave us a 12:30pm late checkout. Not cheap, but worth it!”

“I visited Detroit for a few days and wanted to be in an area close to the Ford plant. After searching several hotels in the area, I found Sonesta and decided to give it a shot. When I first got to the grounds I was impressed with the building and the grounds. Everything outside was very clean, well-painted, and quiet. The staff was very welcoming even though I was checking in early.I was even more impressed when I got to my room. My stay was comfortable and welcoming. I will book this hotel in the future.Rooms: My room was clean and ready when I checked in early. The room had a kitchenette, an office space, a living area, and the bedroom walled off. Almost like a suite with enough space to work and relax.Safety: Very secure with room card required for entry after a certain time at nights for all entrance areas. The hotel is located close to others and the grounds were well lit.Food & drinks: There is no breakfast but the room has the facilities to cook if you want and there is complimentary coffee. I picked up a few items at a close by Walmart. There is also a mini-store at the hotel where you can get typical microwave food and drinks at a very good price.Noteworthy details: I was impressed with the grounds, the room, and the customer service. For the price, I couldn't asked for more. The hotel is located close to a lot of major chain restaurants and shopping.”

“This Hotel is old, so remember that. The rooms aren't giant they don't have ALL the amenities, but it's got location, location, location AND atmosphere. The rooms are small but cute, the bathroom was rad and the lobby was radder. It's close to so much including the people mover which is awesome. The Candy Bar is downstairs which is super fun and is across the street from the Opera house. SO, if you're down for historic charm close to fun things... look no further.”

“What's great about this casino is there are separate rooms for smoking casino and non smoking casino. Was a bit shocked at the table minimums, the lowest was $25. Also there is no cocktail service on the floor but there is a soft drink station that you're welcome to use.”

“Very good experience here. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Wonderful at the front desk and valet. The shuttle service is very convenient with a knowledgeable and friendly driver that will take you anywhere close by.The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view. Lots of space. “Love this casino!!!!Love the Gainway across the streets below, the churches and views of them are amazing and I always enjoy that dreaded "walk of shame" when exiting as well. Different areas and you can smoke inside here still and that keeps many coming back! Machines are hit or miss.. but I am not a big spender so mostly enjoy the older slots, have seen 1st hand a few jackpots hit ( just not on my machine) staff is very polite and friendly. Prefer here to MGM for that reason. Good luck!Safety: Beautiful area, detroit has come a long way from days of old... pop in, say hello and try your hand at the casino.. maybe you will will what my husband calls "my donations"”

“Raheem Devaughn was great watching him on stage showing those sexy moves making the girls scream and throwing red? for them catch. Some girls he would hand them a rose and freak touching. It was great to watch him perform. Great performer!!I also got a chance to visit Motown museum and saw where history was born. Love it!! ? Detroit MI I love you!! Will return again.”

“Our only negative was that the valet took an hour to bring our vehicle! I texted, then reminded, then found our ticket in the pile of tickets to remind him again! There was also a car blocking traffic and the valets were talking that none of them could remember who it belonged to and if it was waiting for someone to come down or if it needed to go to the garage. The completely disorganized valet service was bad enough that I will not stay here again.”

“I went to the I.O. Rooftop Bar and the Hamilton (both inside the Godfrey hotel) recently with some friends. The views from the rooftop bar were breathtaking and had great vibes overall. There were mostly reasonably priced appetizers on their menu upstairs but if you desire an entree, then take the elevator down to the Hamilton on the 1st floor. Reservations are recommended at both establishments.”

“We have been staying here since we moved from Ohio and the office staff is awesome so are the cleaning people. The office staff say stay as long as you like they always wave when we come out of the room and the managers are protective of their tenants staying on the property . I like being here they don't rush you to leave. “Very clean hotel. Everyone was super nice. But the breakfast it wasn’t really busy on the Sunday morning we were there and almost everything in the grab and go containers were empty around 8:45am. I was able to get a breakfast sandwich which is really all I wanted but I feel like they should have been able to restock the food faster. But besides that everything else was perfect”

“Our room was spacious, and we had our own parking spot right in front of it. The inn's location is great; easy walking distance to downtown. Founders Brewing is close by. We felt safe. The owner, Mona, really aimed to please. Her breakfasts were delicious. Lots to do in Detroit; we're looking forward to returning. When we do, we'll stay at this wonderful inn.”

“Rooms felt super clean, comfortable beds, room had an air freshener which made it smell overwhelmingly fragrant and gave us a headache. As soon as we discovered the source we unplugged it. Wish we could’ve opened the window to air it out but they don’t open.”

“An unsatisfactory horrible experience.Management and staffers are unaccountable and have no integrity.* I was double charged a totally different amount for my stay which took days before I was credited my money back on my card. It was an inconvenience. Management/ staffer told me, my card was charged a different amount from my original balance, a whole day after I checked into the hotel and had paid my balance in full (zero balance). Management tired to justified but said they didn't know who or why my debit card was charged. Management told me it would take days before my account was credited. "That's called stealing from a guest." Management provided reward points and that wasn't sufficient.I was inconvenience by having a large sum of money, $662.14 (on hold) on my debit card for days. It was a horrible experience. I don't recommend this location to stay.”

“Great hotel(with nice views) just needs to be a bit updated and housekeeping needs to be more detailed. The views and hotel it self feels like it needs more life ..food court had 1 restaurant open..its a ghost town .The GM museum is nice ..the hotel/ bldg needs a revamp (some of the staff was ok other staff was super helpful).It could be a great place to stay...it just needs attention to the rooms and updating more staff!”

“Everything was wonderful. We had tickets to a show at the Fox and chose the Inn because of the charm and location. The location is excellent for the stadiums and theaters. Arrived at 4:00 to our pick of spaces in the lot. Checked in and walked to the Grey Ghost for dinner before heading to the Fox and a quick walk back to the Inn. I wish there had been a heavier comforter on the bed (only a thin sheet and bedspread). We found a second quilt/bedspread in the wardrobe, so it helped some. If the weather had cooperated it would have been perfect.”

“I absolutely love The Holiday Inn Express & Suites brand and their hotels. The hotel rooms are always very clean, comfy, and spacious. I recently stayed at the location in Sterling Heights, MI, located on 15 Mile Road. The service from the staffers and management was professional, attentive, friendly, and caring. The reason for my stay at this location was due to furneral / loss reason. During my entire stay, the management was caring toward my needs and requests. “I ran out of drive hours on my semi truck an had to get a room at the Comfort inn 2 days ago . I arrived at 2am . There was a beautiful African American woman who greeted me an checked me in . This hotel was very accommodating considering I arrived late . My room was very clean and staff was very friendly. If I'm ever in need of a hotel stay in Warren Michigan again, I will be going back to the comfort in ?”
