“Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, certainly does not have the feel of a big box store, with a lot of fun and welcoming decor. I take my pup Griswold for baths regularly and the tubs are always clean, the products are fully stocked, and their equipment is easy to use. One of the best parts of coming here is the digital punch card system. I have lost more bath cards from other pet shops than I can remember. Will be back very soon!”

“What a fun shop! I visited here this past week and got a dog-friendly yogurt dipped oreo treat and a vanilla "lickedy split" for my pup. She LOVED her treats. The young lady who assisted me, was knowledgeable in the products and able to help answer some questions that I had. They have a nice variety of accessories, bath items, toys, and dog treats (personally, I love the "natural," homemade ones that have healthy ingredients that even humans could enjoy if they wanted to hah). Whether you are local or visiting the area, this is a great shop to pick up a treat for your pup, or as a gift.”
“I have been taking my blind dog Sparky a Rat Terrier mix to Urban Dog for about 3 years now. Needless to say he needs extra care because he is blind. I noticed that the girls have been rubbing is belly because when he comes home he loves his belly rubbed now. When he gets in the car to get groomed he somehow knows that he is at the groomers and gets all excited to be there. I would ask how he is doing with his groomer because he is a special needs dog. They assured me he was getting the hang of coming in and out of his crate. He has his good and bad days so I wanted to make sure he was being good for the groomer too. I don’t want him biting anyone because he is blind. I take extra care at the vets office too to make sure he doesn’t bite anyone because he is blind and scared of his surroundings. They always are very nice and friendly upfront at the desk too. I used to drive 30 minutes to get him groomed by The Urban Dog because I trusted them with my dog. Now I live much closer so it is even better now only taking a few minutes to get him groomed. I showed my appreciation of them today with individual bunt cakes because they are so appreciated taking time out to make sure Sparky feels comfortable with them grooming him.”

“This place is great, staff is friendly and helpful and the dog wash stations are always clean and awesome to wash the old hound. My basset loves to come here, and they carry unique high quality brands for food and toys for all your pets. Prices are marginally higher on essentials, can be noticeably higher on larger items but the quality is a reflection of the price. If you want high quality this is your pet shop”

“I really love this store and its owner and employees! I've been shopping here for many years, always has what I need with great prices too! Just wanted to mention - I haven't been able to access your website for about two months now (it's nice to be able to check your current inventory). Every time I try to Google prevents me and issues a warning about the site not being secure, and that hackers might access my personal info. Hope this problem can get fixed for you! :) UPDATE! “The manager at this location is amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful to me in helping me get a new cage setup for my puppy. I had such a small cage given to me by family that barely fit a small dog bed, and while my little 12lbs Bichon could fit in it, she freaked out and was not happy because she couldn't move at all. I'm not raising no inmate puppy, so the manager recommended a perfect sized cage for her and it looks great. (See the small cage in the background for comparison)”

“I went to pick out a few giftcards and some dog toys for my kid’s teachers who both have dogs (and a fun new toy for my pup). When I walked in it wasn’t busy, but there were staff members walking around making the place organized and keeping an eye out to see if anyone needed help. I passed the salon and someone was dropping off a very rambunctious fur baby (obviously toddler) but happy dog. The staff didn’t act exhausted, even though it is close to the holidays, but were genuinely excited for their time with this guy. As I checked out with my giftcards and toys, the cashier rang everything up and then double checked the balance on the cards to make sure the recipients would have no issues using them. They really do care here, and it’s worth my time and doesn't cut into my threshold of “dealing with people” by going to this store. 10/10”
“I was in the Sterling Hts Petco yesterday. The assistant manager helped me find some pumpkin for my 11 year old Golden. He did so much more by recommending a few products and explaining the difference. He was also a very sympathetic ear during a rough week for our dog. They always have a good selection and plenty of staff who are super helpful, whether it's finding quality dog food, certain treats, using the dog tag machine, or figuring out a dog harness. Great service ?”
