“Back in the day, everyone remembered the Detroiter truck stop. Years later, it became a Pilot Flying J. I’ll tell you what, this may be and old Truck Stop and one of the oldest Pilot Flying J. But I love to give the management props for keeping such a clean and neat store! The restroom may have old and outdated sinks and toilets and urinals, but everything was spotless. I took a shower and it was super clean. The store was neatly stocked and no empty shelves. The staff was friendly and polite. Only thing I don’t like is the pay to park lot. Other than that, congratulations Detroiter Pilot! Great job!!!”
The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.
