I had a spark plug eject itself out of the cylinder head and needed it repaired. The shop I usually go to was booked into July, so I had to find a new shop. Any car guy can tell you anxiety inducing this can be.
I settled on Dan's based on their review history and proximity to home. They were very polite, professional, and in my instance, they completed the job same-day when they originally said they might not get to it due to other customers vehicles. They found the time and did what they could to get my vehicle back to me.
Car runs great, repair was as I expected and is the quality I was looking for. Cost was more than I expected, $400 vs $260 from my normal shop for the same operation (not the first time I lost a spark plug), but their work and professionalism has earned my trust, and that's more valuable than gold.”

“My 76 year old mother brought her car in this morning because her engine light was on… of course she was panicking because she drives to Detroit everyday for work. She brought it in, the guys hooked the little computer to it and found out that she did not tighten her gas tank hard enough. “WOW! I chose Gerber Collision after my car was hit. My insurance covered the cost, but Gerber went above and beyond with their service. They texted me everyday with updates on the car and an estimate of when it would be done. When I reached out with questions, they were always quick to respond and very kind (I asked a lot of questions!). My car was finished 3 days before they originally quoted me, and they detailed the ENTIRE inside of my car. When I went to pick it up, the mechanic talked me through what was done and their warranty. They also stayed late for me to get my car! I will definitely be using Gerber for all repairs moving forward!”
“The owner was very nice, I guessed the wrong issue on the phone and when he found out what was actually wrong he called me to let me know with the cost. He didnt have my car longer than a day and when he told me of other issues there were I let him know we were aware but are fixing things as we can afford them and he wasnt pushy like other places. He gave me an estimate for those problems and we left. I will say the shop supply fee seemed little high but my vehicle got fixed”
“My F150 was difficult to start. Groat Brothers listened to the symptoms I had experienced, and correctly diagnosed the problem as a bad starter. Replaced the starter by the next day!!! Even though they couldn’t guarantee it would be fixed until the following week. All done at a most reasonable price! Second time I’ve used the Groat Brothers and they are awesome! Definitely will be back when I need vehicle maintenance.”
