“I never really write reviews but this Short Stop has always been my favorite gas station in Duluth. Not only because of the selection but also the people who work there. Last night I went in there and they removed their water machine ? it’s not a big deal, but you can’t get water anymore without buying a plastic bottle… kinda sad we can’t access free water in gas stations anymore, but I’m sure there was good reasoning for it. Wish they would have kept it but made it so you’d have to purchase the cup/bring in your own.”

But was disappointed when I parked in front of the store Hadi cap spot almost slipped.because someone dump water or clear pop and it froze went inside Kwik Trip and told employee who was keeping up hot foods and let him know about situation ,that somebody is going to fall. I put caution sign out but they took it back in the store and nothing was done about it”

“So glad we stopped here on our way back home. Saw their banner at the Hermantown rink during a hockey tournament. Their beef jerky is delicious. I grabbed a tub of homemade pickles (labeled as "Cucumbers 'n Onions" and they're SOOO good. Will be stopping here again for snacks next time we're in town.”

They totally took over my town of superior about five years ago but they have many good discounts and I always grab my gas from there when I fill up my tank and always grab all kinds of different things from there. Overall it's a great story to stop at if you're looking to make a quick trip.”
“I spent my time reading all of the ones STAR comments, and I can relate to every single one of them, and even add on them for days. But when I came to the realization that It’s been a pretty rough year, and everybody that rated one star….. the word that came to my mind every time I read one of them is called “ SELF entitlement”. The level of SELF entitlement these days is beyond me, and I’m done trying to even understand something that’s just not understandable. To the person about the car wash…. you had stuff come off the road, and you thought a touch-less wash was going to take it off? I think you should just say less. I go there every week and get exactly what I want, and there was one time that I got the “ultimate works/deluxe wash?”, and it didn’t work correctly. I went back around, I told one of them exactly that, and with no questions asked he handed me a new receipt and he said “sir I sure hope this one works for you” ( one of the older gentleman). How about the crackhead lady that came in there? That’s not called “their issue” that called a “National tragedy” and they can’t control who walks in those doors, because if they could they would love to have everyone of you entitled people automatically lock the door the second you touch it.How about this…. one of the older gentleman is a retired 30+ Duluth police officer/St. Louis County sheriffs officer, HE IS A HERO!!! He now really…. pushing buttons to self entitled people like you, and for all you know he had to spend his pension to save someone in his family.Maybe Start realizing that everybody has battles outside of their work, and we don’t know what those battles are, so you’re just sensitive to people, and in the end it will work. I would have an attitude from how omg It can take in line, and they were just grumpy, but when it came down to it they gave me exactly what I wanted, and they let me put my head behind that stupid plastic glass so they could hear me, NEVER COMPLAIN ABUT IT BECAUSE THEY KNOW THE JOB IS TO SELL, and every single time I was in there, their mask’s was on! (They goes for every employee)Here’s my last example, there is a kid that worked there at the beginning of the Covid shut down if you wanna call it that, and he would work so many hours that he would go above the coolers in the back just to get a nap so we can go back to the cashier and help the 24 hour service that was coming out of there nonstop.“Patience is a virtue, find it if you can, sell them in a woman, but never in a man”I bet you have waited in the car wash line longer than in line to pay for your cravings & pack of Tobacco/coffee (mind you each new coffee machine in there is OVER 14,000!!) we are lucky to have them stick through all the BS. NEVER to collect a $600 payment, and out their with their feet up on the couch. I’m sorry your parents and teachers didn’t teach you respect for your elders.Paying customers? Lol. Wake the F up, stop letting others control the way you think feel, and behave. Just because you are spending $20, doesn't make you a king/queen for the moment. You ever feel stupid when you passed someone on the road 10+ miles over the speed limit but you both end up at the same red light? Try something different…just because the other person isn’t kind (your type of kind) that gives you no excuse NOT to continue to be kind. Kindness spreads, and rubs off…. Normally, they have some pretty good deals inside. I've had good experiences with staff and honestly feel bad because I've seen staff get yelled at by crazy customers, and they remain calm and professional.”
“The best place to go in the morning for Thee Perfect Cup of Coffee -- any combination of various chocolate and many other delicious flavors, add cookies and cream, hot chocolate, espresso, whatever you want and any way you like it!! And very affordably priced, just be careful about how many calories you're adding up to though, could be 500 or more, but if you work then that's good breakfast for the day! Also, beware methanol anti-freeze and windshield fluid on the shelf (propylene glycol is the safe replacement to methanol in antifreeze, which they should order), but this goes for any gas station. If your radiator is leaking and needs fluid, don't put methanol in and have it leaking poison in yours and everyone's face, duh!”
“I love the staff at this Kwik Trip. I go out of my way to go there. Since it is in a food desert, they are usually busy. The staff work well together, they have some of the best coffee (and things to put in them), usually have samples. It's odd... I've said I'd never ear gas station food. Thanks to Kwik Trip, I not only eat their food, but I recommend it to other people!”
“Speedway has been around many yrs but speedway is new name as it use to be speedy . Use to have lots of oil and auto needs as well under speedy yrs ago but is much more of a convenience store and gas stop at this time . Has limited amount of items yet convenient to fill the hole in belly. Outstanding service they all deserve respect and a raise . “Mainly come during the earlier mornings, by 7am, and they always have fresh hot food which is a plus. Bathrooms are always cleaned well and friendly staff. Only downside was during this past winter I had several instances where I couldn’t pump at the diesel pumps because they just wouldn’t work. Sometimes just one pump but other times it was all of them and nothing was flagged telling me until I was already parked. Was not fun to move my truck over to another pump or a lot of times just figuring out my next gas station option. It was probably due to the cold but I have never had issues with that at any other gas station. If that can be looked into I’m sure you’d relieve a lot of peoples frustration from that issue.”
