“Requested a rear brake bleed following a rear hard-line rupture that I repaired myself. Prior work and scope were clearly explained, and the over-the-phone ballpark price was reasonable.
Once onsite, the shop declined the work citing front caliper leakage, despite the issue being isolated to the rear circuit and the pedal being firm prior to the rear failure.
After inspection, no work was performed and no charge was made. This did result in a minor one-day delay on my end.
Would have preferred the rear circuit be bled as requested. Now I’ll be finishing the job myself on gravel and ice in late December.
