“This is the coolest toy and game store I have ever seen. They have old school toys, new toys, and the odd toy. I found some hard to find toys for my collection. The employees are always polite and helpful. They also have unique Lego sets and board games.”
“Lovely children’s bookstore that is quirky and clearly designed with young ones in mind. Staff is always happy to help or recommend books; cats roam freely through the store, and a few other animals call the bookstore home too. The best. :)”
“If you are into weird science fiction, reading it or collecting it, this is the store for you. The owner is very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. This independent bookstore has a lot of ambiance.”
“Stopped in on a whim while driving around. I was surprised at the large magazine selection and even found a special edition of a niche hobby interest that I've been looking for. The store was clean and looked to he well stocked. Staff was friendly.”
“What an amazing and welcoming bookstore! It’s so nice to be greeted in a genuine fashion by someone who is interested in their customers. This is a charming little shop absolutely packed with paperbacks. It’s definitely worth a visit!”
“The store is cute and quaint and has a large selections of books, collectibles, cds , and comics. I hadn’t been to this location before and I really enjoyed it!”
“I was so happy to be back in a Half Price Books after years living in places without any. It was welcoming and like seeing an old friend. I found more movies than my budget would allow. Quite pleased with my finds! Lovely, helpful, professional staff who helped get some sticky mystery gunk off of a dvd. Fantastic location. Am so pleased!”
“Well stocked store, as a newer collector of Stephen King hardcovers I like dropping in every 1-2 weeks to check out what's come in and I usually find something to get”
“Cafe was very clean and nice, the staff was kind and the prices are never that bad. The store is organized a tad peculiarly and it makes finding the section you wanted a little hard but it gives you motivation to peruse the shelves.”
“Pretty big B&N relative to others. Located inside the Mall of America so there is that….its pretty close to an entrance/exit and parking garage which makes it relatively convenient at the MoA. Like all B&N’s, incredibly overpriced but a massive selection. The employees were super helpful and there is a Starbucks in the store as well.”

“Whenever I am traveling through the MSP Airport, I stop into this delightful little bookstore. The employees are actually readers who can provide information and qualified suggestions about their books, and although small, they have a remarkably wide range of fiction and nonfiction sections. Although obviously they charge full cover price, anyone devoted to supporting physical bookstores should shop here.”
“(Translated by Google) Excellent service and a very good selection of Bibles, literature, certificates, and gifts, I got exactly what I needed.(Original)Excelente servicio y muy buena selección de Biblias, literatura, certificados, y regalos, obtuve exactamente lo que necesitaba.”
“Every experience has been positive! Staff are quick to respond to online orders and are more than willing to help with any issues with orders! The only “downside” is that (not at their fault) because of the nature of the store being both in person and online, sometimes the stock availability changes after an online order is placed. Again however, staff are more than willing to help you find a new size or item. I would recommend them to any and all St. Kate’s alumna and family!”

“Really poor experience with store staff when attempting to make a return for defective item. Will not shop here again.
Edit: Store management was very responsive to resolve issue and will return to give them another chance.”

“Having come to Mackin after a series of abusive and/or indifferent employers, working here is a real breath of fresh air. "Dignity" is the word that comes to mind. Nobody peering over your shoulder, treating you like a child, using fear tactics to keep employees in line. They trust you to show up and do your job and have policies in place to make work as comfortable as possible in a warehouse environment. Everyone I have met here has been super friendly and supportive. Benefits for full-time employees are competitive and for the work you're doing the pay is decent. Never get that fight-or-flight feeling that I'm used to around department heads or shift leads. Don't buy into the slander, in my experience this is a great company to work for. 5 stars well-earned.”
“It had been awhile since I'd been in a bookstore. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many magazines are still being published. You'll find ones tailored to many niche interests. Check the freestanding displays and end caps for sales. You can find some good deals. The cafe sells Starbucks products; however, you cannot use that app or points there. The store and restrooms were clean and the staff was friendly.”
