“Had a new set of Tires installed and balanced. Then vehicle had problems with the tracking system software. This is due to gratuitous complexity of modern autos. A fundamental part of this is manufacturers being allowed to keep service software proprietary. There needs to be a change in law, to give owners absolute rights to this software and their designee. As is usual the vehicle dealership was not in anyway helpful, but obstructive. Anyhow the second expert Heartland called in was able to solve the problem, but for a significant fee. Due to what I suspect was the cost of his equipment and software, was likely justified. This hassle caused a delay of 24 hours to get the use of my vehicle back.
Heartland were perfect gentlemen about and as blindsided as I was by how this went down.
So beware! Getting a new set of tires is no longer a straightforward proposition with this newer generation of vehicles. And of course no warning of this in the handbook. The marketers I'm sure warned that it would have been bad for sales!”

“It is easy to miss when using GPS. As you approach the destination, the GPS shows you have arrived, but the place is hidden behind an embarkment, and it appears like a dead end. Keep going, and you will see it right at where the street dead-ends.”

Just stopped there Saturday since we were getting a warning that one tire was low. Even though I had no appointment, Faustino helped me make sure the tires were inflated with nitrogen correctly.
