“Really made me think. Will return again for more inspiration! Store is also thoughtfully organized (for example, cookbooks are by food gifts for sale); rich in character.”
“Lovely children’s bookstore that is quirky and clearly designed with young ones in mind. Staff is always happy to help or recommend books; cats roam freely through the store, and a few other animals call the bookstore home too. The best. :)”
“Dream Haven Books & Comics has all the fantasy/sci fi/adventure/horror you never heard of before walking in. Tons and tons of packed rows of books, including ones that are out of print, or signed by the author.”
“Our visit to this store was pleasant, and friendly staff were eager to help us find exactly what we were looking for.
The selection of books in this store is full of useful, practical knowledge, meticulously organized and lightly scented with the subtle hints of incense.
Lots of very interesting other items here too- ritual implements, sculptures, and an array of other compelling goods that you're unlikely to see anywhere else.
Worth the trip- parking's in the back. We'll be back soon!”
“I hope this local bookstore continues to stay open after so many other good places in the area have closed through the years. Love coming in here. You can expect to pay the full price for your book unlike at a used bookstore or online, but it’s worth it. They also sell journals and puzzles.”
“Has an incredible selection of books, kind staff, and just a generally nice atmosphere. Hosts fun events for all kinds of interests. Inclusive space and content for all ages and reading levels.”
“Stopped in on a whim while driving around. I was surprised at the large magazine selection and even found a special edition of a niche hobby interest that I've been looking for. The store was clean and looked to he well stocked. Staff was friendly.”
“A cool little bookstore in Northeast Minneapolis. Definitely worth a visit for any bookworm or avid reader. They have some shelf space dedicated to local authors and some space dedicated to local crafts which is honestly pretty awesome. Eat My Words Bookstore also uses their space really well, the place has a very unique atmosphere that’s very cozy.”
“This is a cozy, one-story bookstore with a really nice and thoughtfully curated collection of books. Whether you're into fiction, non-fiction, or just browsing for something new, you're likely to find something that catches your eye. The layout is simple and easy to navigate, and the shelves are well-stocked without feeling overwhelming.
The staff here are super friendly and approachable — they genuinely seem to enjoy being there and are happy to help if you’re looking for recommendations or need help finding something.
One thing to note is that there isn’t a seating area or café space inside. Unlike some other bookstores that have a Starbucks or a lounge area where you can sit down and read a few chapters, this one is more of a grab-and-go kind of place. It would be nice to have a quiet corner to flip through a book before buying, but even without that, it's still a great stop for book lovers.
Overall, it’s a great place to support local and discover your next read. Just don’t expect to linger for too long unless you're standing!”
“My buddy has cancer. Thanks to this place it seems that my friend has had some reduction of cancer in his lungs. I didn't say it cured him but it slowed down the process...cats claw! Go see this guy who works his potions right in the store. Tha k you man for what you do. Staff is friendly too.”
“What an amazing and welcoming bookstore! It’s so nice to be greeted in a genuine fashion by someone who is interested in their customers. This is a charming little shop absolutely packed with paperbacks. It’s definitely worth a visit!”
“The store is cute and quaint and has a large selections of books, collectibles, cds , and comics. I hadn’t been to this location before and I really enjoyed it!”
“Great tarot reading from Wildstar! It had been many years since my last experience with tarot readings done by others, which had been wildly inaccurate. Wildstar let me choose from many decks, thoroughly explained each card and its relationship to others, and even took pictures for me so I could recall the experience whenever I need to be reminded of the suggestions from the reading! I'll be back next time I have a question on which I need guidance from the Universe!”
“Words alone cannot describe the peace of wandering wordlessly among thousands of books that you can actually touch, feel, smell and sometimes read. We love bookstores in every size. From Shakespeare & Co in Paris to B&N (which used to be a rough young startup btw) it’s nice to bump other people who like the same thing you do. Many stars.”
“I was so happy to be back in a Half Price Books after years living in places without any. It was welcoming and like seeing an old friend. I found more movies than my budget would allow. Quite pleased with my finds! Lovely, helpful, professional staff who helped get some sticky mystery gunk off of a dvd. Fantastic location. Am so pleased!”

“What a place! There was a wonderful blend of new & used books, including entire series but at used prices! I left with several books and a T-shirt, I'll be back.”
“Pretty big B&N relative to others. Located inside the Mall of America so there is that….its pretty close to an entrance/exit and parking garage which makes it relatively convenient at the MoA. Like all B&N’s, incredibly overpriced but a massive selection. The employees were super helpful and there is a Starbucks in the store as well.”
“The owner and his bunny are so awesome and kind! Tiny little bookstore that is a little disorganized but totally unique. Seems like it came out of a novel. Zoro is a sweet bunny and definitely runs the place in his bunny fashion. Stop for the bunny and stay for the fun books you can find!”

“Wonderful bookshop. The staff is always helpful and willing to answer all my questions “well it had a blue cover and a murder by windshield fluid in it” type questions which is very much appreciated. Feels happy just to walk into a cozy place like that. 11/10 highly recommended.”
“They got a nice Manga and anime related good section, not sure if it's in the middle of building or they were cleaning out though. But if they expand on it I think I could see myself coming back.”

“I normally don’t do reviews, but i absolutely love this place. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, hugeee selection, and one of the first trans-friendly adult stores ive seen!”
“entirely volunteer-run and visibly dedicated to community aid & genuine leftist beliefs (rather than the more common liberal-ish vibe in minneapolis), this little bookstore instantly became a new favorite place to stop by when i'm in the area.”
“Great selection of leftist books and periodicals, including some used books. Expect to find friendly and helpful people hanging out, if you're looking for conversation. They carry the classics of theory as well as some newer fiction and analysis. Highly recommended.”

“I always shop clearance because of prices, I think their discounted books need to be discounted more frequently. But it's fun to walk through and look at all the variety.”
“What a warm and inviting place to spend some time. Grab some coffee. Browse some books. Head upstairs to the outdoors patio and relax and enjoy. Great space. Great books. Outstanding coffee.”

“Whenever I am traveling through the MSP Airport, I stop into this delightful little bookstore. The employees are actually readers who can provide information and qualified suggestions about their books, and although small, they have a remarkably wide range of fiction and nonfiction sections. Although obviously they charge full cover price, anyone devoted to supporting physical bookstores should shop here.”
“This is one of those bookstores that you go to if you're looking for rarer non-fiction books. They have some fiction and common stuff too, but specialize in hardcovers, rare prints, and first edition non-fictions. As someone who loathes the average bookstores that have small selections of run of the mill non-fiction books, this place was a treat!”
“Cafe was very clean and nice, the staff was kind and the prices are never that bad. The store is organized a tad peculiarly and it makes finding the section you wanted a little hard but it gives you motivation to peruse the shelves.”
