“In short; An honest shop with fair prices that does excellent work. Great communication, transparency on costs, and willingness to tackle frustrating/difficult troubleshooting. I won't be taking my vehicles anywhere else, it's worth my time to drive from Blaine to Elk River to go to SBR. Andrew and his team have taken excellent care of both my car and my wife's car.
More details: We were in a difficult spot when we needed to replace the catalytic convertor on my wife's car a couple years ago. SBR quoted us a fair price for the parts and labor, and got the work done in a timely manner, and we've had zero issues with the repair. Extremely easy to work with. Excellent first impression.
Now, earlier this month, my car was experiencing electrical issues. I did what maintenance and troubleshooting I could, but it quickly proved to be outside of what I was comfortable doing. I got quotes from a couple of shops closer to me, but those places were extremely overpriced and had no promises about being able to fix the issue.
I then took my car to SBR, and they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it, while checking over my earlier work and being honest with me about where I had made a couple of small mistakes. They also quoted me a fair price for some additional work; oil change, tire rotation, brake fluid. I was happy to have them do those jobs while they had the vehicle, because they've earned my trust and my business. All told, I spent less money than I expected, and got more work done than I had hoped for. A win-win. Should have just brought it to SBR in the first place; I won't mess around with the competition next time.
SBR is a rarity in the modern world of car repair. We need more businesses like this one! You will not regret taking your vehicle here for any sort of maintenance or repair.”
