“In short; An honest shop with fair prices that does excellent work. Great communication, transparency on costs, and willingness to tackle frustrating/difficult troubleshooting. I won't be taking my vehicles anywhere else, it's worth my time to drive from Blaine to Elk River to go to SBR. Andrew and his team have taken excellent care of both my car and my wife's car. More details: We were in a difficult spot when we needed to replace the catalytic convertor on my wife's car a couple years ago. SBR quoted us a fair price for the parts and labor, and got the work done in a timely manner, and we've had zero issues with the repair. Extremely easy to work with. Excellent first impression. Now, earlier this month, my car was experiencing electrical issues. I did what maintenance and troubleshooting I could, but it quickly proved to be outside of what I was comfortable doing. I got quotes from a couple of shops closer to me, but those places were extremely overpriced and had no promises about being able to fix the issue. I then took my car to SBR, and they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it, while checking over my earlier work and being honest with me about where I had made a couple of small mistakes. They also quoted me a fair price for some additional work; oil change, tire rotation, brake fluid. I was happy to have them do those jobs while they had the vehicle, because they've earned my trust and my business. All told, I spent less money than I expected, and got more work done than I had hoped for. A win-win. Should have just brought it to SBR in the first place; I won't mess around with the competition next time. SBR is a rarity in the modern world of car repair. We need more businesses like this one! You will not regret taking your vehicle here for any sort of maintenance or repair.”

Great to work with and great service! Thank you Deanos!”

“I had an excellent experience at Cornerstone Kia in Elk River, and I can’t say enough good things about my salesman, Dan Hegge. From the start, Dan genuinely listened to what I was looking for and made me feel truly heard. His in-depth knowledge of the vehicles and his ability to clearly communicate all the details made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Dan’s efforts felt sincere, and I never felt pressured—only supported and well cared for. I left feeling confident, trusting, and extremely happy with my experience. “⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They fixed my car and restored my trust in people — Slim’s is the real deal. Slim’s came highly recommended by my close family friend, Dave Marrs — and now I understand why. Even after moving out of the area, Dave still drives back just to have Slim’s take care of his vehicles, and I see why that loyalty runs deep. I showed up overwhelmed and just needing someone honest — someone who’d actually listen and not treat me like a transaction. They did exactly that. The communication was real, the pricing was fair, and the work was done right. After my car’s “blower motor surgery” and a few diagnostics, I got behind the wheel, turned the key, and just felt it — that quiet, certain moment when you know your car is good. Slim’s didn’t just fix my vehicle… they gave me peace of mind, and in my current chapter, that means everything. — Christina E. #HonestMechanic #AnokaMN #AutoRepair #FiveStarService #Trustworthy #SmallBusiness #CustomerForLife ?✨?”

“(EDIT) AFTER THIS REVIEW THEY REACHED OUT AND FIXED THIS MISTAKE FREE OF CHAGRE! Miscommunication while ordering tires on the phone wanted all four tires to be one size bigger than stock got my tires back two of them were factory size 2 of them were the size I ordered was told there was nothing they could do about it. That is what I ordered. Customer service not willing to let me return the two tires and get two to match unless I pay for two brand new tires, try to help out small business rather than going to corporate ran tire shop. I have had good luck in the past at PTL but this terrible example of customer service has convinced me to spend my money elsewhere.”

“Christian Brothers blew me away with their customer service yesterday, I cannot recommend them enough! My three year old twins and I were stranded in the Target parking lot with a car that wouldn’t start. The second we walked through the door we were treated so well, the kids even got a little goody bag to take home with them! They accommodated car seats for us to give us a ride home, and had my vehicle inspected and fixed by the end of the day. We will be back!”
