Dunn Brothers Coffee
11 Water St, ExcelsiorA cute little space with a fireplace, seasonal decorations, paintings on the walls, free WiFi, a diverse menu, group seating and individual seating, cold drinks in a fridge, customer bathroom, children's art, bulletin board for community flyers, a water dispenser, checkerboard table with checkers (recycled bottle caps), etc. My baristas were extremely friendly and service was quick. Caramel frappe was delicious. They feature local art vendors and I purchased an adorable pair of earrings. If I lived here, I would be in this coffee shop every single week.

Excelsior Brewing Company
421 3rd St, ExcelsiorGreat taproom with lots of space and a good vibe. There are tables for 4 people or more throughout the room. Dogs ate allowed and it's not too noisy. There's a band some nights, but the stage is in the back, so it's not too loud. We tried a flight which had some good ipas and dark beers. I settled on the Russian imperial ale which was outstanding. There are plenty of restaurants in Excelsior if you want to get something to eat afterwards.

Red Bench Bakery
284 Water St, ExcelsiorReally nice place to have brunch if you're in the neighborhood. Super friendly service. Nice atmosphere, good vibes, very clean. All of the baked goods are way above average, tasty and fresh. Liked the coffee. Was slightly disappointed that the eggs and meat in my breakfast sandwich were precooked and warmed up. Bacon looked and tasted like it had been in the fridge for a few days. Bacon and eggs are pretty easy to cook up fast in a normal kitchen. Kind of bland for a somewhat expensive breakfast sandwich. Will probably stop back for some coffee, cookies, muffins, croissants.

Coalition Restaurant
227 Water St, ExcelsiorWhat a fabulous a restaurant. Nestled in the heart of Excelsior with plenty of parking in the back. We were greeted at the door and promptly seated. My girlfriend and I had the orange dream bourbon cocktail, it was delicious. Our starters were:
Korean Tacos, marinated beef, kimchi, sour cream, cilantro, $20.00 $28.50/4
Shrimp Bruschetta on ciabatta, roasted tomato, pesto, pistachio, parmesan $21.00 $25.50/4
Both were delicious! Each appetizer only had 3 of each, but for an upcharge, you get 4. My friend loved them so much if she ordered the korean tacos for her main meal.
I had the Scallops & Shrimp $41.00 and it was so good! It was on a bed of truffle risotto. Hubby had Grilled Filet Mignon, grilled onion, hashbrown cake, white cheddar truffle fondue, asparagus $54.00 he ordered it medium rare and it was cooked too perfection. I would have expected nothing less from this highly anticipated visit and it did not disappoint. ? Thank you for your service and the excellent food last Thursday night 1-15-26.
A+ from all 4 of us. ????

North Coop Restaurant & Bar
2401 Minnesota 7 Southwest corner of Highway 7 &, MN-41, ExcelsiorWe just love this place, it is in our rotation for dining out. Thank you! I had the crispy buffalo chicken salad and he had the French onion burger with fries. The fries weren't worth the upcharge, in my opinion, but the burger and caramelized onions were... perfect! This was our first visit, and it won't be our last. Thank you!

Happy Garden II
2443 MN-7, ExcelsiorThis place is exactly like all of the amazing Chinese restaurants I grew up eating at in NY. Dumplings, fantastic! Fried rice, delicious. The family who runs the place is so friendly and warm, and the prices are right on. If you want fast, delicious and flavorful Chinese food (that is GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY!!!!) this is the spot.

Mirabelle
200 Water St, ExcelsiorA beautifully appointed restaurant with a perfect menu selection.
One key thing not to miss are the side dishes the carrots with dates where incredible with just the right blend of spices to make such a simple side dish unforgettable.
For those that are worried about the horseradish spread, don’t worry the kick is very “Minnesota” light you won’t even know it’s horseradish.
