It's hit or miss so you may need to come multiple weekends to find what you're looking for.If you are serious about finding what you're looking for come before opening time on Saturdays. There will be a line to get into the warehouse.The people working there are pleasant and the experience, even when crowded has always been positive.”

“We had such a positive experience in the mattress department with Nick. It was a stark difference from our previous experience at slumberland furniture where we were told we weren’t allowed to loiter despite genuinely looking at mattresses. Nick guided us based on our budget and showed us all the features of the beds without trying to oversell us. He also did not make us feel uncomfortable for being a same-sex couple which we cannot say for slumberland.”

“Honestly, I had been investigating a certain kind of couch I wanted. One with a chaise lounge and storage. When I saw this store I went in on the fly. I wasn’t expecting to purchase or find anything in addition to what I already had seen. Well, turned out, they have a huge selection of this type of couch, in many different options and colors. I bought it on site. That and two end tables and a coffee table. I would have bought floor lamps but didn’t see much variety. The sales person was so great and patient with me. I wish I remembered his name…. Anyway, my stuff is being delivered in a few days and I got exactly what I was looking for and even more options. And I want to add that my new bank card I had wouldn’t allow the purchase for limit reasons. The sales person was so patient while I called the bank etc. I ended up using their zero percent financing instead just to make it happen. Awesome experience. Great store!”
“This store has an awesome selection of so many unexpected items that are fun, practical, and just different. The food section is fantastic with foods that you don't see elsewhere. The furniture is nice and different. The candles, incense, planters, cards, cosmetics, clothes, and seasonal items are so good. I look forward every year to the Christmas ornaments and chocolates and gifts for all occasions and people!”
“I first walked into the IDC during the height of the pandemic and said I needed to furnish a newly purchased townhome, that I knew what I wanted but that I intensely dislike shopping. During the following months Dawn and Denise could not have been more helpful. They not only heard what I was saying, they listened. My time was never wasted and I was never pressured but was shown items in keeping with what I had said I needed and wanted. I do not live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area so considerable communication took place by phone and email with Dawn always keeping Denise current as related to items under consideration and decisions made while Denise did the same with Dawn. Not once was there even the slightest miscommunication. When we learned due to the pandemic the factory in Finland had stopped making dining tables and chairs Denise contacted someone at the factory to ask if they could please make the one table and 4 chairs I wanted from stock on hand AND THEY DID!!! I was grateful beyond words to think she had done this and that those at the factory had agreed. Three times Kevin and Rick delivered items to my home and each time I was impressed by their work habits. Kevin is extremely skilled/talented and a strong leader and I appreciated how he appropriately mentored Rick relating to why things were being done as they were. Every piece was placed exactly where I wanted and I know had I not been happy they'd have moved them. Whether ordered from Finland or Norway or bought off the floor, I could not be more pleased with the quality of the many pieces from the IDC and as important, could not be happier with the experience I had working with Dawn, Denise, Kevin and Rick. They were exceptional.”
“We were referred to this shop by a family member who had been before and we were so impressed! We scheduled a 90 minute couples massage, and arrived a little early to look around first. Street parking was quick and easy. Our massage therapists were jace and henrietta, both wonderful, polite, and skilled. The few sentences of guided meditation during the massage helped us stay in the present and the snacks and tea served afterwards were a great addition to help us wake back up! We were so surprised with the oils that came with the package that we purchased and everyone was so kind. The cute pup made our day! Such a sweetie. Thanks again for the wonderful experience!”

“This place has everything and amazing help. I bought 3 yards of fabric a few weeks ago. After an hour of looking around I finally asked for help. They pointed me to the isle I would find that type of fabric and low and behold, I was able.to buy more to finish my project!
Just keep in mind, all sales are final but most things are half priced from the sticker price listed. Wortha visit!”
“? Don't let the store name fool you, it is not just boxes and containers – I have gotten anything from phone cord accessory type items to drawer organizers, to personal business like items. I'm a little bit of a neat freak and this I have found some very soothing items here to help keep my stress low at home because of the tidiness and organization it brings to my home life and work life.
? Everyone could visit the store and find at least one thing they relate to and would purchase!

“My Teacher had recommended me to come here if I was looking for a place to take classes over the summer. Me and my family had booked a few weeks in advance so we would have a spot on the date we decide to throw on the wheel. The class we took was 2 hours long. We got to make as much bowls as we wanted in that two hour frame, but we can only choose up to only 3 pieces to take home. We all had a fun time! The instructor was really nice and helpful when it came to needing more help on the wheel. If you’re looking for a fun beginners activity on throwing on the wheel, I would recommend this place. Their store is also so cute.”

Everything seemed very high quality (the prices match that) and lots of locally produced options. The freshly ground peanut butter is amazing, so definitely give that a try! “We usually go to the Nokomis branch but saw the main store last week when they had a special sale event. There's a huge selection of earth-friendly goods and staples there, all of what the smaller store has plus more. We chatted with the staff who were very friendly and offered advice about the beeswax wrap I bought to try out. I'd recommend either store to anyone concerned with the environment and sustainability. Yes, you'll pay a bit more but it's worth it to know you're doing your part for the planet.”

They sell quality goods so I wouldn't call this place inexpensive, but not everything is expensive either.
I always find something unique, especially around the holidays.”
