“I don't know who the hiring manager is, but they absolutely nailed it. Every single time I come into Gopher Ace Hardware, I'm usually there because my husband sent me, and I have no idea what I'm looking for! Without fail, someone is always kind, patient, and genuinely happy to help me find exactly what I need. They never make me feel like my questions are a bother. The customer service here is consistently outstanding. Even the employees at the checkout are always friendly, welcoming, and pleasant. The store is clean, well organized, and it's obvious the staff takes pride in what they do.”

“Wonderful local amenity have in the neighborhood. If they don't have it - there's a good chance they can get it or tell you where to find it. The staff is a best. The employees walk around smiling and know you by name.”

“I had a fantastic experience here! I originally bought a water filter at Lowe's, but they didn’t even carry the replacement O-ring for the unit they sold me. I stopped into LeVahn Brothers, and an incredibly helpful employee took me straight to the right section. He perfectly matched my O-ring and even applied silicone grease to make sure it fit smoothly. The part worked perfectly! This isn't my first positive experience here. No matter how much you spend, the staff always treats you with total respect and shares their incredible knowledge. Highly recommend supporting this local business!”

“I bought the EGO SNT2416 snow blower from Ace Hardware, and the experience was outstanding. The delivery driver waited for me when I was running a few minutes late and rolled a fully assembled snow blower right off the truck. He brought it into my garage and even walked me through how everything works — personal tutorial was fantastic! Ace Hardware in Excelsior went above and beyond, and I couldn’t be happier with the service!”

“This is full service hardware store. The customer service is exceptional. I had a flag pole holder that attaches to the metal railing on my deck. It has rubber pads that prevent scratching. One side has two inch metric bolts and came with galvanized nuts. To secure it. With wind two of the nuts came off. The assistance I got was not only professional but helpful as we discussed loctite on the threads he suggested lock nuts. They are installed. Just a small thing, but an indication of they operate”

“Best woodworking shop I've been to. Has more than I needed and certainly will be coming back! The employees see to actually like their job which is a good sign of a healthy company. Kinda has the feel of a Tandy leather store but for woodworking. Best part is I didn't feel like I had to deal with a bunch of bs.”

“I had a larger casement window installed and my contractors supplier was Hamel True Value Building Center. The window was installed correctly but during the cold spell last Winter an issue with the window performance occurred and a warranty claim was initiated by me. Steve Theiste, the salesman worked with my contractor, window supplier, and me to resolve the issue and it was determined a new window would result. Steve had to keep up with me and all of the back and forth, and he ordered a new window. I was very impressed with his professionalism and patience as we worked through the warranty and recommend his expertise to anyone looking for new windows.”

“Travis and his team helped us take down a couple of diseased trees and helped us remove some trees that were just too densely planted. He also helped us trim our remaining trees so that they would be healthier in the years to come. Travis was helpful, professional, and gave us great advice and guidance on how to manage our trees and at a very fair price. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.”

“We were cautious to order from this store because it is a on-line store only and we did not find many reviews. We ordered the white baroque balusters from Deckorators and they arrived quickly and in good condition. The owner responded to our e-mailed questions promptly. I would buy from this company again. Very Happy with the service and product.”

“We would often go to the Navarre True Value when we lived in the area. The service was always great and the store usually had what we needed in stock. Like another review stated you can get a foot of rope at this store if that's what you need. The value of that cannot be understated.”

“I can't remember who helped me at the entry desk, wish I had gotten his name. I am demolishing a thirty year old deck and needed some type of wrecking bar. I found the Duckbill Wrecking bar at $120.00. I was set to buy that. This gentleman had recently helped demolish a deck and recommended a nail dimpler and the Honey Badger two-tine wrecking tool (at around $45). He was more interested in making sure I had the RIGHT gear rather than the more expensive gear. He saved me around $80 just by listening to what I needed to do, and finding the correct tools. I am happy to say, the Honey Badger tool has so far performed above my expectations. I didn't even need the nail dimpler. Thank you Acme! Your service is top notch, and the talent you hire reflects just that!!! If I could give ten stars and get the service rep a raise, I certainly would!!!”

The mechanic at the Minnetonka store looked at it right away and was able to make a repair........as I waited! The mechanic and all other staff were super friendly and helpful. I did not have to make a return trip. Thank you!!”

“Update Sep2026: the trips this week have to get better at adding things to my cart as I think of them. Oddly they were out of all Caulk guns... except for a few massive ones... all Home use that accept any of the 100 of so options of caulk they stock were MIA. Update: oct2025 looked up every thing I needed and dropped it in the online shopping cart and then they have a print function. (Only is with this process is they don't print the store locations in the printout.) Glad I wrote them down Had what I needed, but took a while to find it, even with some help. My go to place for great prices”

“Friendly staff - I love being recognized when I come in by the paint swirl master - haha - it's a side project one of the guys has - finding beauty in simple swirls of paint before they mix together. It's just personality that you find in a place like this. Sure it's probably a little more expensive if you buy everything there; but you probably won't walk out with a bunch of impulse buy BS like I always do at Menards. Im pretty sure I come out ahead and can rely on the advice of the people. Great experience guys!”
