“Amazing service from the bakery! We had a baker cancel last minute and needed a gender reveal cake. I called everywhere, including the other Hy-Vee location in Mankato, and nowhere was able to do it without 24 hours' notice. However, I decided to try the Riverfront location just to see. Misty answered the phone, super sweet lady and she told me they could have it ready in 20 minutes! We got there, and it was ready and looked phenomenal. She also gave us some cute little baby toppers! Mackenzie did an amazing job on the cake, and Misty provided amazing customer service. I'm incredibly grateful for both of them, they are amazing at their jobs!”
“An International market collecting many food items from Asia and Africa. The selection is esoteric, but in the best way possible. The Halal meat is great, and perhaps the best available in the Mankato area. The tea selection and the spices are amazing, and I use many ingredients from here as "special ingredients" in my own cooking. This location also has Mango and Guava flavoured drinks, of which are absolutely delicious. This store is a great addition to the community, whether you be of Mankato's wonderful Islamic community or not.”

“Living in St Peter MN in 1988 we experienced the tornado. Our house was damaged so we needed to live at the Fairfield Inn in Mankato for a couple months. Our family ate dinner at Hy-Vee nearly every day. Great selection then and now. Thanks for the work your team delivers everyday.”

“Great addition to Mankato to supplement the big stores. Impressive selection of Latin American cream and cheese. Less impressive produce. Accepts EBT.
Neat little store, definitely corner store vibes. Clean and tidy inside. Mostly sells shelf stable and bulk items. Some staple home goods and toiletries too. Tons of cool drink options both cold and not.
The fresh cases are dairy, drinks, vegetables, and bakery. So many awesome Latam dairy options you can't find in other stores, highly recommend for that. Cheeses and creams, all very fresh and seemingly packaged by independent Latam producers vs the big American brands. Bakery also looked good but not on my list today.
Produce was less than inspiring. The one thing on my list was green onion, but the ones in the case had shriveled greens, and I needed the greens specifically. They had some good looking nopales / cactus paddle leaf though.

“An employee was removing boxes from shelves. I asked her if Aldi had olives, as I hadn't found them. She led me right to them. Meantime I mentioned that I couldn't find canned coconut milk the other day. She didn't think they had it, but while I was getting olives she checked the baking aisle. Came right back & very cheerfully took me to it.”
