“First time volunteering, and it was wonderful. I volunteer with a few other organizations closing the gap on food insecurity in Minnesota. I love being able to help get more food out into the community, everyone deserves a full belly.”
“Amazing organization working wonders for those with disabilities. We were so impressed with what they can train dogs to do, and the heartwarming stories of all the lives they have changed. We decided to volunteer to help foster dogs and it has been a wonderful experience. The staff helps make the process very easy. We strongly encourage anyone who loves dogs to learn more about the organization!”

There are also kids camps in the summer…Would be great for way more local financial support to upgrade some equipment, for building maintenance and to reinstall the beloved cafe since it went under from Covid.”

“The local, regional, and international staffs and volunteers work to build and maintain the highest levels of care for the mothers, children, schools, clinics, and legal aid and human rights efforts the Project fights to protect. “Very good food shelf. They have gluten free food too. Anyone in MN can go there. I got tons of produce. I just didn’t like how people were pushing me away from food I was looking at and budging in front of me. My IHS worker also said someone interrupted when we were trying to talk to someone at the desk.”
“Natalie Oleson is very wise as well as intuitive and is able to identify and understand issues under issues, which I find very interesting and eye opening. I am very very happy with her help.”
“Edited review: First appointment fell through, as some people read. I am here to update, as I believe in multiple chances. I am leaving Open Door with an improved rating, from 3 to 5. They called back before the year was up, and let me know they did have something available. I met with the insurance navigator, she was kind and listened intently to what I was asking. She gave me all the information I needed to move forward with insurance options. This is great, and the kind of change I admire. It's truly nice to have a facility that many can go to without having to pay an arm and a leg!”
