“Good local hardware and building supply store. Newly remodelef. Helpful staff can usually be foumd. They will deliver. Opens at 6 am on weekdays.
Plenty of parking. Including bicycle rack for locking bike. Usually the checkouts are plenty and manned.
On site lumber yard. It is my go to hardware store. I frequently travel by bicycle to shop at the Maplewood location.”
“They have what you need most of the time. Getting help is frustrating, usually have to walk around and look for someone for help which can take 5 or 10 minutes. Prices are competitive and usually lower than most other home improvement stores.”
“It's nice to shop a store where the people who work there know about their store and your needs, not filling the store with high school kids after 6 pm. Of their tool selection and that they will open another register.There's more than three people in line. There are candy selection is great.”
“Service great , but completely under staff. One person at the register and one other doing everything is not enough to efficiently run a store ! While waiting for my propane to be filled, I watched the gentleman helping me be pulled all over to help everyone and answer phones.. and that just made everything for everyone take longer and more things just stack up on the guy . I would quit if I had to work like that!!!”

Edit: Even though service can be spotty, I can almost always find what I want in store, prices are good, and service is better than my local Home Depot.”
“My wife and I found ProSource when we were shopping for materials to remodel a bathroom.from a tub and one sink to a walk-in shower and double sink vanity. After visiting several different suppliers of the various products required for our project, we came across ProSource where we found almost all of our needs in one place. Not only did they have all the name brands we preferred, they had the most professional staff we had the privilege to work with, and the best prices. What more could we have asked for.”
“Bella and Adrian were extremely helpful at the self checkout. I had previously purchased lighting arrangements that were discounted by my military discount. This time for whatever reason it wasn’t working. Bella attempted to help me but was unable to determine what the issue was. Adrian overheard the problem and came over from his register to help. He explained while signing into the machine that sometimes products can’t be discounted but he doubted that was the case. For whatever reason the discount didn’t apply properly so he restarted the transaction and manually put in the discount which worked. Both spoke clearly and concisely and made everything make sense.
Just two days prior to this I had Adrian help me by clearly explaining the difference between two Milwaukee tool bundle options.
If I ever need help checking out again I’ll be sure to go to those two first.”
“This review is about 14 years too late but Lake Elmo Lampert's donated me all of the lumber needed for my Eagle Scout project (outdoor staircase) at Township Park in White Bear Township. It has held up great. I hope that their customer service is still excellent here in 2025.”
