Big Hill Books is a cute hidden gem in the Byrn Mawr neighborhood of Minneapolis. This independent, general interest bookstore sells new books, cards, puzzles, games, locally made art, and more. The atmosphere is nice with comfy chairs, a small stage, cozy rugs, and an open system of bookshelves. Sweet staff give great recommendations, including for local authors, and there are wonderful pets like resident cats. The store hosts frequent community events including open mic nights and book clubs. Shirts and great local made gifts are available. Visitors can sit and read a little or say hi to the kitties. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it a great neighborhood spot with a wide variety of titles for adults and kids.

Such a cute hidden gem I'm glad I stumbled upon on Instagram. They have a wide variety, chairs to sit on and read a little. Shirts for sale & great local made gifts. Don't forget to say hi to the kitties!

Sweet staff, wonderful pets, and a beautifully open and easily navigable system of bookshelves. I love getting good recommendations from other patients here and from the lovely booksellers!
