La Casa Market is a neighborhood favorite and a hidden gem in Minneapolis, bringing the real taste of Mexico. It is a clean facility with great smells and a welcoming staff. The market offers a great variety of Latin American and authentic Mexican products across several departments. The hot deli department serves amazing and delightfully fresh food. Favorites include fresh chicharrones, tamales, chicken tinga, and barbacoa. Their tamales are noted as the best, with flavorful masa and generously stuffed with pork, chicken, or rajas. The bakery features cakes, pies, sweet rolls, a must-try chocolate flan, and a to-die-for Churro cheesecake. The meat department is an immaculate butcher counter offering all the Mexican cuts like Arrachera, Chorizo, and Mexican flank steak, plus marinated meats, chicken breasts, and fish, all fairly priced. The produce section provides anything from elote, pineapple, and avocados to exotic Latin American fruits like fresh cactus fruit. The market also offers fresh, chunky guacamole and items like ceviche and huge bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapenos. It is a solid local store with a lot going on.
They have the best salsa in town! I also recommend the Al Pastor meat from the butcher, packed with flavor.

The grab and go of prepared meats such as barbacoa, carnitas and pollo asado are delicious!! Their salsa verde is top notch. After having lived in San Diego for 8 years, this place is legit!
