About Compassionate Action for Animals

Compassionate Action for Animals is a group that has been advocating for animals since 1998. It is an inclusive, empowering, and compassionate organization that focuses on the positive and effectively makes change for the most abused animals—farmed animals—while also impacting positive change for all animals. The group hosts regular fun events and meetups, including vegan picnics and potlucks where people can share tasty vegan food, recipes, and resources. They organize major events like the enormous Twin Cities VegFest, typically held in September, and the Vegan Chef Challenge, which encourages restaurants to add creative vegan options. They also host holiday gatherings like a Memorial Day farm sanctuary visit, a Fourth of July potluck, and a Thanksgiving potluck. CAA provides great information and support, meeting people where they are at in their journey to becoming vegan. The team works tirelessly to bring about positive change and awareness for living a cruelty-free life. The Twin Cities and Minnesota are fortunate to have this thriving organization. It is a great resource and a group to join and support for anyone wanting to do good for animals, meet compassionate people, and be part of effective advocacy.
