East River Flats Park is a peaceful and beautiful park on the east bank of the Mississippi River. It is a great place to spend a Sunday, go for a walk, play some outdoor games, or just have a picnic by the river. The area is surrounded by nature and is a nice place to take dogs for a leisurely stroll. The further one walks along the trail, the more beautiful and peaceful it becomes, especially in autumn when the leaves are changing. The little-known East River Trail that runs from the park is well worth exploring in any season. However, the park's restrooms are often closed and locked, sometimes with only unreliable portapotties available. It is a spot where locals can spend their afternoons.
