Koom Siab Grocery & Deli is a small, local grocery store that caters primarily to the Hmong community. Despite some mixed reviews, many customers appreciate the convenience and freshness of the store's offerings, which include a decent deli, dry goods, pots and pans, drinks, snacks, seasonings, frozen seafood, and fresh vegetables. The service at Koom Siab can be a bit slow at times, but the staff is generally polite and accommodating, as long as customers are understanding and patient. The deli is a highlight, with customers praising the sticky rice and pork belly. However, the papaya salad seems to be hit or miss, with some customers finding it lacking in spice or having oddly short shreds. Prices at Koom Siab are a bit higher than larger supermarkets, but this is to be expected for a small, independent grocery store. Some customers appreciate the store's humble, family-oriented atmosphere, acknowledging the challenges that Hmong-owned businesses have faced in the United States. Overall, Koom Siab Grocery & Deli is a reliable, community-focused option for those seeking a taste of Hmong culture and cuisine.

Even though employees here don’t speak English well, they understand me. The deli is great with egg rolls and beef laab. Prices are moderate but still great overall. 5 stars.

Really good deli food. Best papaya salad in the north metro.
