Lunds & Byerlys Downtown Minneapolis is an upscale, well-stocked local grocer with a focus on gourmet ingredients and high-end groceries. It offers a pretty good food selection, including impressive organic choices, high quality produce, a butcher, seafood, and an impressive cheese selection. The store features a great deli that serves as one of the few restaurant options in a grocery store, providing food that is fast but not fast food. There is also a Caribou Coffee inside. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is well-run, remaining open until 9. Some note a heavy police presence and that the space can feel cramped, solemn, and depressing with limited natural lighting. The product selection can seem limited and the costs are high, underscored by having mostly self-checkout stations.
Lunds is an original MN local grocery store with top-notch food and awesome rotating sales! The staff is mostly awesome (but the deli staff is reluctant to assist after the dinner hour). Their bakery goods are fantastic!

Doesn’t have the selector larger stores (no frozen Screaming Sicilian Stromboli) but the meats, cheese, and produce are very god.
