“They had several small shops and I have been to most of them. So people here are super nice and friendly. Let me start with loma tamales- their tamales are great and their atole even better. Next to it is “la Reina de los jugos” a stand that sales natural freshly squeezed juice I have tried their carrot juice and it was wonderful. Next to that is a small bakery - I will say they have some of the best pan Dulce I’ve ever had especially their donuts they are always so soft and tasty that’s probably why they run out so fast all the time.In the middle area there’s a lady that sales meds and natural tea and pain creams she has been there a while and is super sweet lady, every time I need something for my crampy legs I stop by her stand to get a recommendation from her and so far everything has worked. Near her stand is the floweshop stand and the owner is such a sweetheart, there was one occasion I didn’t have cash and he let me take the flowers and come back later to pay (at the time he didn’t know me) I mean I honestly did not expect that at all (yes, I came back to pay) his flowers last good at least two to three weeks. Every time I get a chance I stop by to get some carnations from here. Then there’s a little convenience stand where they sale candy, and various products normally I get a coke and peanuts here for a snack and they lady there is also super nice and friendly. When I was pregnant she would give me random advice on how to take care of myself. It was nice to get that sense of my culture where people genuinely care about your wellbeing without trying to sale you something. Then there is the pupusa restaurant which is very good and tasty. The two Mexican places there also have great tasting food. Try any of them you will not be disappointed. Oh and before i forget on the second floor there is a printing shop and the guy there is very helpful. Also, there is a hair salon, on the weekends it can be a bit of a wait but they do great hair cuts for guys.”

“Several good shops here. Shout out especially to the thrift store. Friendly staff, great prices and for a great cause! Be a repeat visitor and save even more with their rewards program. What a perfect place too for you to take those treasures you no longer have a need for, but don't want to just throw away.”

“This place is great, it's truly authentic and the people who work here have always been very friendly. It's truly a slice of culture from afar right here in our little metropolis. Go for a quick bite to eat of some good food, go to shop for a new outfit real quick (no shoes though), or go and find a new necklace or ring at one of the multiple jewelers in here! What ever your doing, do it with a smile and I'm sure you'll get many smiles in return at this feel good place! Enjoy, and then write your own review on Maps, so other people know what you think! (*and if you like this review, let me know by giving it a thumbs up, a like, or a share!) Have a great time and enjoy Mexico right here in Minneapolis!!!!”

“Cotu is absolutely delicious and I hope we get together as a community and help that restaurant just like we did for Kevin at Penn Lake Roast Beef. It's heartbreaking the gun violence that has impacted immigrant small business owners.”

“Went to Bawarchi Indian cuisine. Got their new year special party tray and was very satisfied with my order in all aspects like the price, quantity and quality. Online orders are good price than over the phone orders.”

“My go to place for when I want to eat a chipotle burrito while I grocery shop. There parking lot can be difficult to exit when it's busy because of the cross traffic, but there's another exit that has a stop light by excelsior blvd”

“Iconic building constructed in 1975 that is both a local landmark and universally bound to the identity (and skyline) of the city of Minneapolis, MN. 50 stories tall, and at dead-center of Minneapolis geographically.”

“There's a street that runs from a lake street that heads north for about 3 of 4 blocks that is a little piece of Somalia and it's a hidden gem for an experience in the twin cities. The streets are busy with our Somalian community members and they are amazing, kind, and beautiful people. I definitely recommend hitting up the ice cream shop on this block or grab some takeout and have lunch at an open table in this part of town. Always welcoming and fun vybes from little Somalia on lake and pleasant. Check it out?”

“It's a nice place to live, and employees are good people and friendly. I give to 4 because sometimes resedent is not good because lite nights you hear a loud music or people yelling each other. That's the only issue this residential”

“We had to transport a friend's pet from the Vetinary Hospital to their home and needed a sheet to cover and protect the rear of our car... Savers worked perfectly.. It is like going to a huge garage sale.. So we bought the sheet.. Spent an hour walking the store and found more items than we expected.. It was very pleasant.. Sort of like going on a treasure hunt.. We had fun.”

“While navigating the parking lot can be hellish, the variety of stores makes it easy to run errands and grab take out quickly which is important to me as a local Real Estate Advisor and working parent.”

“Went to the Somali Museum! It was awesome. Super cool and informative. Sadly we ran out of time. So I'll have to come back to see the rest of it. It's not huge but it's interesting to see weavings and woodworks of another culture.”

“Cheapest ticket to Somalia! When I first went to the mall I was concerned that I would feel unwelcome but I could not have been more wrong. If you have light colored skin you will stand out but the mostly Somali sellers, shoppers and visitors are gracious. It is something about...by being there you demonstrate an interest in their American subculture. It couldn’t be a more pleasant place to visit.Great clothes, amazing food! Friendly people! I used to return only for gifts. Now I go whenever I can justify it?. A great place to learn a few Somali words.?.”

“My employer, Fogo de Châo, is in this building so I get to walk through here many times each week. The building is more impressive on the interior as compared to the exterior. I like to sit on the ledge under the escalators sometimes, before it after a shift. It's a warm, peaceful little spot in the heart ❤️ of the city and I'm very grateful ? for its presence.”

“This place is pretty cool. There were empty stores and it was hard to find out where places were. There are certain restaurants that can only be accessed from outside and you wouldn't know that by the maps in side the building. It was frustrating trying to find the entrance to Roat Osha. We had to ask someone. Seemed pretty quiet in there for a place in uptown. Definitely worth checking out.”
