Target in this location is a small store primarily catering to university students. The store has a very limited selection of products, with only one aisle per category, making it frustrating for customers seeking variety. Grocery items are often out of stock for long periods, and many products over $10 are kept behind lock and key, requiring employees to unlock them—though this security measure helps prevent theft and ensures vital items are in stock. The store design emphasizes safety and stock management, which some customers appreciate. However, the small space results in a surprisingly large section dedicated to pet supplies, while the baby section is very limited, offering only a few options for baby food and diapers. This imbalance can be felt as a lack of essential items for families. The store’s staff is frequently praised for their kindness, humor, and helpfulness. Customers especially appreciate employees who go out of their way to explain processes and assist efficiently, adding to a positive shopping experience despite the store’s limitations. The store’s location in Dinkytown is convenient, with no nearby grocery stores or pharmacies, making it a practical choice for quick visits. However, some inconveniences include difficulty finding staff to open locked cabinets, limited self-checkout stations, and higher prices compared to larger Target stores. Additionally, the store enforces a strict no-bags policy, requiring customers to bring their own reusable bags, which can be inconvenient for some. Overall, while the store offers basic essentials with friendly staff, its small size, limited stock, and higher prices make it less suitable for comprehensive shopping needs, and more of a quick-stop option.

Very rude customer service... They don't carry any carts if you wanted to buy heavy loads and when asking if they had any the store associates just said simply no and went on there way :/

Limited selection compared to other locations. Good as a convenience store.
