Terrible place to live, nothing gets done and I get charged with a “damage fee” after moving out but the thing is, they gave me broken furniture already. I need management to contact me immediately.

You know what it's been over a year since I lived at The Bridges and I think my brain must've had some sort of trauma response & blocked out some of my experiences here but I got a few things to say. Other than Miss Kia? idk our iconic security queen who everyone loved and was probably fired for no good reason, there was nothing redeemable about this place. Not only are you compromising location-wise because it's slightly further out from campus, but literally every aspect of this place sucks considering you're paying just as much as (if not more than) other student apartment options. The staff all look like they hate you (and do), guest parking options are nonexistent--if I'm remembering right my roommate's car was broken into at one point in the actual parking ramp, and the amenities are dingy and useless. I think we were missing a sofa but the one we did have had to be made of plastic. The beds creak every time you breathe and mattresses were very prison bed core. All these people care about are draining your bank account and your soul; not sure where that money is going but it's clearly not toward improving any part of this apartment building or its service whatsoever. Signing here was a curse and I would've been better off camping out on Uncommon's roof or something that year. Great view from our apartment tho. Maintenance people were nice too but if they had any respect for themselves they don't work there anymore

Everything is good, I remember when I signed the contract, the single room was $1,500 a month. Two months after I signed the contract, my friend moved in and also had a single room, but it only cost $1,200 a month. And I was told that the rent couldn't be reduced. Furthermore, he didn't do anything and received a $350 reward, while I got nothing. This made me very frustrated.

DO NOT LIVE HERE
The apartment was dirty, with numerous holes/ stains on the walls and carpet. Most of the amenities listed were either unavailable or broken. Guest parking is a nightmare- even with a parking pass. There are only 5-6 guest parking spots, and you aren't even guaranteed a spot. I had a guest pass and was told that I had to wait either for the cars to get towed (they didn't have a pass) or park in the street (not available due to construction). Elevators were constantly dirty or had food spills. I was given an incorrect bedroom key when I moved in, and I got locked out of my bedroom. Front desk hours were 10 am-6 pm, Monday through Thursday; however, there wouldn't be someone at the desk until 10:30 am. I have had to wait numerous times. In December of 2024, the 3rd and 4th floors had to be evacuated due to a pipe burst. The communication during this situation was abysmal, and we didn't know where we would be living until 9 pm that night. They put us in a hotel (which they paid for); however, the communication was inconsistent, and we still don't know what the issue was. We were charged full rent for December, despite not living in the building for the entire month and receiving no compensation. I was told I could move back in on January 1st; however, when I got to my unit, there was no door, and the construction looked half done. There was no water in my unit, and we were in the hotel for nearly a month, during finals week. My stay at the Bridges was frustrating, and the lack of communication and cleanliness disrupted my time living there immensely.

Lived here for a year, secured parking is almost $200 a month and my car got broken into twice by someone smashing my windows. Nothing the building could do about it because there are no cameras in the garages. The unit we got assigned was very different from the one they have for showings. Our unit had multiple damages. My bedroom carpet was stained with old fluids. They have you take a picture to submit any damages upon move in to avoid getting charged for it when your lease is up. I took pictures of the carpet but they couldn’t show me proof of my submitted pictures because they got a new system while I was living there. So we got charged for full carpet replace at the end for $300.

I personally lived at the Knoll Dinkytown in the past for Undergrad for 2 years and now live in the Bridges while I complete my masters. Love the location, how spacious my bedroom/common area is in my unit, and how big my bedroom is! Recently been using the gym equipment as well and very much so enjoy this to have so easily accessible.

One reason I love living at the Bridges because of the fast response time to maintenance. I put in the request yesterday for a disposable leak and it was fixed this morning. There are great events currently like the Friendsgiving that hosted canes, or all the valentines themed events this week. I would love to see more with food as the college students love that. The movie theater room I would love to see hosted once it is ready. And the game room I could see more options with.

The building's management has demonstrated severe negligence in maintaining both common amenities and individual apartment units. Half of the advertised amenities are currently damaged, broken, or missing parts, and the administration has taken no action to address these issues.
Furthermore, the response time to maintenance requests within apartments is unacceptable. Whether it's a water leak, broken walls, malfunctioning stove, or non-working refrigerator, it consistently takes up to two months for the administration to address these issues after a complaint is submitted.
The management team shows no proactive approach to maintenance and appears indifferent to tenants' living conditions. Their only apparent concern is collecting rent payments, while neglecting their responsibilities to maintain a safe and functional living environment for their tenants.

I’ve lived here for 3 years now, only due to the fact that my roommate refuses to move out and I go to the U. The amenities are awful - don’t let them tell you otherwise, the gym equipment hasn’t been updated since the time it was built and there are no free weights. The game room has no pool sticks, chalk, triangle, and missing the 8 ball. Half of the ping pong balls are broken and the entertainment room does not work. The rent is expensive for having really no amenities that seperate it from a dorm room other than in-unit washing. Overall I would probably look elsewhere at identity, fieldhouse, or the Marshall if I had the choice again.

Management is terrible and charged me with incorrect fees. I reached out to address these issues and no one responded. Do not live here.

DON'T PARK IN GUEST PARKING. VISITED TWICE. TOWED TWICE. GHOSTED BY BUILDING MANAGEMENT.
Came to visit someone and there was no one available to get a guest parking pass from the whole time I was here even though it was during their “open” hours. Never saw anyone working the front desk from Friday-Monday and when I called the phone number provided, it was disconnected. The towing company tried contacting the building management multiple times when I asked how I was supposed to get a parking pass and they got no answer. Not blaming anyone for the towing (in this paragraph), but they made it impossible to get a parking pass and avoided talking to us.
UPDATE: Visited a second time and the resident was able to get a parking pass a couple days in advance when he saw someone at the desk. Got towed anyway (different story. check Cedar Towing company for that review) and when I called the towing company they said they read the parking pass wrong but I still had to find a way to get to the towing place and come with license and registration. Currently waiting for someone to show up to the front desk to talk to them since its private property and the police have no authority, but once again, phones are disconnected.

The worst place to send your college student. Other college students run the place. Leaders are no where to be found. No communication , things are always broken and most importantly short staffed. I feel awful for the college students because they have no idea how to handle fair housing rules and regulations. Awful place!

I recently renewed my lease at The Bridges for the 2024-2025 school year, drawn by their new management team's improvements, including a parking garage and updated facilities. Despite these upgrades and affordable pricing, my experience with the parking situation has been frustrating.
We were placed on the parking waitlist six months ago. We would often run into Kennedy to ask about the updates and she has been very kind to assist us with the situation. Strangely, today she did not recall us asking about the garage parking situation but she did recall us asking for the guest parking pass. However, the last time we asked for the guest parking pass was three months ago, whereas we just asked her about the garage parking situation as of two weeks ago.
Initially, in our old 2023-2024 lease, we signed up for a parking spot, but we had to cancel it in October due to personal matters. We checked in again in January, and that was when we were put on the garage parking waitlist. We were told there were no spots available, and then in April, we were informed we were 6th on the list. However, by June, our position was downgraded to 10th. Now, in July, we've been told we're on a new waitlist for renewal residents, while new residents are guaranteed spots. This new system was not communicated in our renewal lease, which was sent out by Tim Oden. We’ve essentially been waiting for 7 months with no resolution.
The customer service has been disappointing, and despite promises from staff members like Kennedy and McKenny that a manager would contact us, we have yet to receive any follow-up. The improvements under the new management are overshadowed by ongoing issues with customer service and communication. I hope The Bridges can address these concerns and provide better support for their residents.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My car has been broken into in their “secured parking garage” that we have to pay TWO HUNDRED dollars a month for. Additionally, the parking garage door came crashing down onto my car one time and broke my ski racks, which the apartment said their security cameras were not working for. There is no such thing as management. Mind you, when I moved into my place my apartment unit was not cleaned or turned over AT ALL from the previous residents— completely filthy, sticky floors, and had black mold growing in our washer and dryer units. The workers are a bunch of teenagers that play on their phones and clearly have no idea what they’re doing. Homeless people sleep in the stairways and lobby. Elevators don’t work (or really any of the other amenities they “offer”). Do not let your kids live here.
