Lack of parking is a real bummer. Prepare to spend an extra $25-50 per night to park your car several blocks away. The reason I booked this room is for the lower rate, which is sctually negated by the parking prices. You will end up spending more than another hotel that provides parking. Keep that in mind if booking solely on pricing.
Hotel itself and rooms seem nice enough. Staff was friendly. Valet workers were helpful in providing directions to offsite parking.
Would not stay here again due to the parking situation.

I rated it 1 star because it is crazy that a hotel doesn’t have parking include it. You have to pay basically the valet parking yes or yes $50 dollars per night. The options around for parking are almost the same price so you end it up using the Valet service. It is better to stay outside of the downtown and you can get parking as Normal hotels. That means the hotel instead of $75 per night I had to pay $125 per night. It is not worth it. The room is clean but doesn’t have anything special for that price. The front desk service from 1 to 10 I would say 4. They don’t know anything about hotel Customer service. I will leave a review after my 2 days stay is over.

Wow, let me tell you what amazing service I received from Danielle Wade. Mrs. Wade the front desk guest service representative from Tru Hotel went a step above to WOW me as a loyal guest. Not only did she went a step above but she gave me 110% amazing guest service. This is what I look for when I stay at Hilton Hotel's. Thanks for treating me like I was a VIP...

Rooms are very spacious and good views. No coffee, tea, or water in room. No pool. Valet parking is way too expensive. Only option is figuring out the creepy parking garage. Hotel is within walking distance of everything and the free breakfast offered is very plentiful.

We stayed 3 nights when we came for the Vikings game. Overall it was a positive experience. This is a basic hotel with small rooms, but they were clean. The only issue we had were the pillows; they were terrible and caused us to miss sleep! They were soft and floppy with zero support. The breakfast is basic and typical of lower-rated hotels. However there is a nice seating area in the lobby and the coffee was really good. The location is excellent; we really enjoyed walking around downtown Minneapolis and trying all the restaurants. The stadium is only a 15-minute walk and the Metro line is right down the street and so easy to get to Mall of America. Overall a good experience with this hotel, but they need new pillows in the rooms!

Froze our buts off. AC was set to 61 degrees and you could not change it. They said there was a fault in the system. So they gave us heaters and extra blankets. In August. The view from the 8th floor though ... amazing!

Very clean rooms! Should have ice buckets in rooms! Also, have ice buckets on every floor with an ice machine, not just on the fifth floor.
Rooms: Rooms were very clean.
Food and drinks: The breakfast was good.

We had a great experience this weekend, they did the best they could with our large sold out crowd + the computers shutting down!! Appreciated all the hospitality for our convention!

Due to the lack of affordable parking space, I will need to give this hotel 3 stars only.
Keep in mind, front desk and the room was great.

I don't know what the negative reviews were about. The only think lacking was the breakfast and that's only because they were slow to restock.
Otherwise - Valet was quick and easy to find. Price was good for a concert weekend. The water was hot, the AC was cold, the room was nice. The location couldn't have been better. It was 5min walk from the stadium. Food, drinks, shopping -all in walking distance. We had a great stay!

I was unaware that lack of in room coffee was a brand "feature". Great hotel otherwise, but zero interest in getting dressed to get my first cup. Definitely won't stay at this brand again.

Freshly renovated old building in downtown. The staff are AWESOME, and every interaction was a pleasure. Any issues with the structure of the building is not their fault. eg AC, hot water, limited parking etc. They do their best to help you as much as possible.
