The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum is a hybrid gallery and museum located in the historic Moorhead Post Office building. It is dedicated to the presentation and preservation of the great art of the Midwest and beyond. The museum is overflowing with wonders on all three floors, featuring fascinating art and a nice collection of books. Visitors find a mini theater showing a silent film and a gorgeous gift shop with jewelry, books, art supplies, and more. Beautiful art even graces the powder rooms. It is a good place with a lot of cool stuff and is free to enter. Art, crafts, and jewelry can be purchased. The Rourke is about the representation of local artists whose work is beyond the measure, presented tastefully to honor them. It is a lovely gem of a museum.
