Kalise and Kris were very helpful in deciding the right amount and assortment of food. Kalise also did a great job putting all the trays together. Plus nice to only have one big container to deal with instead of a bunch of little ones. I buy halloumi and spices here sometimes too. Every time I go I see something interesting I want to try out, like pumpernickel bread or spicy canned fish.”

Not only are they super friendly and smiley, but they go above and beyond with things such as complimenting my purchases, asking my weekend plans, striking up conversation, making recommendations, and the last time I was there someone even ran to get something in the store I mentioned I couldn’t find so I could still buy it. Anyway that’s my favorite part but also the prices are always better than expected”

    “We were searching for Kvuzat Yavne cucumbers in brine, Beit Hashita pitted green olives, and Israeli pita bread. We found two out three at The Kosher Spot. (We couldn't find Beit Hashita. They do have other brands of green olives.) They have a large selection of Kvuzat Yavne products which we love. Their Israeli pita bread is thick, fluffy, and chewy. We discovered their San Francisco Sourdough bread which was amazing! It was so fresh and delicious. They have Stern's Rugelach, which if you haven't tried it, is moist and flavorful. We particularly liked the vanilla. We picked up a package of Strudel Bites to give them a try. Yum! They were delicious too. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We look forward to our next visit and trying some of their other items.”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
