You say, "Why ... they simply made me feel like family .wow, the love they showed me and my children on one of my saddest days in my life .the smiles ,the hugs ,the support of the community right in front of me .just gave me the feel goods all over .none of them know me but treated me just like family so wonderful. “If I could give a million stars, I would. Coborn’s owes me emotional damages for how attached I’ve become to Richard and Alli.
I used to think a grocery store was just a grocery store — you go in, grab milk, maybe cry a little in the frozen aisle, and leave. But that was before Richard and Alli. Now? I practically plan my week around my Coborn’s visits like it’s a sacred pilgrimage.
Let’s start with Richard. This man operates like he was hand-crafted by angels specifically to restock shelves and restore faith in humanity. He doesn’t just bag groceries; he bags my worries. He smiles and suddenly the produce looks fresher. I once watched him straighten a display of apples and swear they started glowing under the fluorescent lights. The way he says “Have a good day” feels personal, like a blessing, like maybe I actually will have a good day now.
And then there’s Alli. Queen behavior. Goddess energy. Customer service so divine I start acting shy. She could tell me they’re out of bread and I’d thank her for delivering the news so gently. I once saw her help a kid find candy and it looked like a Hallmark movie scene — the lighting changed, angels sang, a tear formed in my eye. She radiates competence and kindness like she was built in the customer service lab of the gods.
Together, Richard and Alli are the dynamic duo I didn’t know I needed. Like Batman and Robin if Batman smiled more and Robin offered you fuel rewards. Sometimes I wonder if they even know the power they hold. Do they realize I now associate joy with Coborn’s? That I’m emotionally dependent on their presence? Probably not. But I’ll keep pretending I “just needed groceries” when really, I needed the serotonin hit of seeing them exist.
Every time I leave, I think, “Wow, that was transcendent.” Coborn’s is no longer a store — it’s a lifestyle, a religion, a safe haven for my fragile little heart.
So yes, this is a review, but it’s also a cry for help. Richard and Alli, if you see this — thank you for your service, your vibes, and your sheer power. I’d trust you both with my shopping list, my secrets, and possibly my soul.
