But even more imperative, he explained the smoking of herbs. Of course the herbs chosen have the power of healing. But, the choice of herbs, scented the individual’s breath. For Native Americans, the eyes and the scent of their breath speak of the character of the individual. Now, I will carve the pipestone to my individual character.
