“I have to tell you folks, I have never had a bad experience at a UPS store, but Dave at the US 52N UPS store has consistently gone above and beyond any expectations, and I cannot recommend him or his store highly enough.
Back in April, my wife and I were planning to print wedding programs at Office Max, as their web site indicated we could take digital files in as late as 2 p.m. and have them done same-day. Turns out (nothing against them) that they wanted north of $1,000 to print, and that the type of print job we wanted was an exception to the 2 p.m. same-day rule, as it could not be printed in-store. This was three days before the wedding, and there was no way we were getting mailed-out programs back in time.
Enter Dave and his colleagues, who were very patiently taking an immense line of Amazon return packages from an increasingly testy queue of customers.
When it was my turn, I explained that I had a 24-page brochure for a wedding program that I really needed by Saturday, and if there was any way they could print a hundred of these, I'd be eternally grateful.
Did this faze Dave. No, no it did not. Dave booted up the PC and the printer and had me sketch out how I wanted the pages to print, and then sat their patiently for 20 minutes running test prints until it looked right. He told me he'd do them himself, and it should be by the end of the day on Friday at the latest, and if somehow it was not, he would drive them up to our venue on Saturday morning.
However, he did not need to drive up and be an impromptu (though welcome) guest at our Saturday wedding in Miesville, because Dave had them all printed by the end of the day on Thursday, and he called me three times from when I left the store with updates.
Total cost was just over $350.00. No charge for all his extra time figuring out my .pdfs, no charge for the test printing to get it right.
Everyone should be like Dave.”
“I had a pleasant experience. Two things... they have a scanner as you walk into the building, so if you have a package with a label already printed, you can scan and put the package in a drop box. Very easy. Secondly, they have lots of packaging materials available for sale if you need to do everything there. I had a female employee help me with one package and the other I scanned. I was in and out very quickly. My issues I see are the parking. You're not parking next to the building unless you get lucky.”
“There's always plenty of employees to help out, my questions get answered and it's typically a quick in & out experience all things considered. This is definitely my recommended post office in Rochester MN.”
“Great people. If you’re having a problem with a package I promise you, go talk to an employee first, not customer service. If there’s anything they can do for you, they’ll do it.”
“I give this review because I value our USPS & they need advocacy because Louis DeJoy has tried to sabotage/ dismember it for his own personal gain. Installed Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, needs to be removed. Support your local USPS. They are being attacked from within & they need you to help them survive the ravages of DeJoys wrath. From New York Magazine: "Until last year, that is, when the pandemic began to crush this American institution under the weight of its sworn duty. As frontline workers, carriers began getting sick: By September last year, roughly 8 percent of postal workers had taken time off as a result of illness or exposure, a percentage that surely increased along with cases. Considering the increase in overall mail volume thanks to the pandemic's e-commerce boom, this resulted in overworked carriers covering unprecedented levels of empty routes. On-time delivery of presorted first class mail fell from 94 percent at the end of 2019 to 91 percent after the start of the pandemic in 2020. The pandemic would've been enough, but in May 2020, former logistics CEO and Trump donor Louis DeJoy was named Postmaster General. The hiring was criticized from the start as a conflict of interest on two different fronts: Not only was DeJoy seen as a Trump loyalist, but he also had millions invested in USPS competitors or contractors, the very companies that would most benefit should the post office become another federal institution stripped and sold for parts to the profiteers." He is responsible for VA meds being severely delayed or missing/animals dying while awaiting shipping, severe mail delays costing businesses money & especially hurting small businesses-but what does he care? His "alternative" mailing businesses are profiting. Write to your Representative & Senators & demand the removal of Louis DeJoy.”
“Best UPS store ever!! Fast and reliable service with great employees that are very knowledgeable! Mary B helped me get some labels printed today because my printer was broken and the assistance was greatly appreciated!! Much better than the USPS across the street in my opinion.”
